This is a short work designed to offer some narrative resources and randomness to inspire ideas for players or GMs. Choose or roll d20 and consult the Combat Action Table for a WildCard or Extra if the situation warrants it. If the Action is an attack... I. Roll d20 and consult Variation I Table. Make only one extra Variation roll for “Roll Twice” past the first. II. If the Action is an Armed Melee Attack, roll d20 and consult the Strike Type I Table. III. If the Action is an Unarmed Attack, roll d20 on the appropriate table (Upper Strike, Lower Strike, Body Strike). IV. Result 5-20 on the Body Strikes Table are Grappling Holds and Throws, indicated by italics. V. Roll d20 and consult the Target Table to find the targeted body part, if necessary, or for narrative. When a hero or NPC fails an attack, the Parry Type I Table may be consulted for the successful parry stance or action. If the Action is an AGL or SMA Trick, roll on the appropriate AGL Trick or SMA Trick Table. I. Although called AGL or SMA Tricks (opposed rolls), the GM may ask for other rolls, such as Strength vs. Agility. II. Both combatants make the appropriate roll – highest roll wins, the loser getting -2 Parry and being Shaken on a Raise.
