Missing or broken street lights should be replaced as soon as possible in the interest of public safety. 08-673- Offered by Councillor Marks Be it resolved that the speeding on Fulton Street be discussed in the interest of public safety. 08-674-Offered by Councillor Maiocco Be it resolved that the Mayor take the necessary action in directing the appropriate person or commission to formulate a tiered water and sewer billing system. 08-675-Offered by President Burke, Whereas, this council has requested that the Mayor consider a program that allows citizens the opportunity to "Adopt a Tree" which was taken under advisement by the Mayor, Whereas, the City of Boston has established a program called "Grow Boston Greener" where citizens can donate $50 to $250 which will go toward the cost of a tree and the contributor can designate a recipient with a thank you, Be it resolved, that the Mayor review the prior council request and/or the City of Boston's in order to augment the City's tree planting activity. 08-676-Offered by the Member of the Medford City Council, Be it proclaimed, that the months of March and April 2009 be "Medford Community Read Months". In conjunction with this, the book titled "Dark Tide" by Stephen Puleo will be the featured book for adults while "Joshua's Song" by Joan Hiatt Harlow will be for children.
