MAXIMIZE BOILER PERFORMANCE Cross Over Twin Alternators

Cleaver-Brooks Cross Over Twin is designed for applications requiring a continuous flow of soft water up to 40 gpm. These volume initiated demand softeners combine the efficiency of advanced electronic controls with the cost-effective compact Fleck twin valve. Available in rugged fiberglass (FRP), these systems provide a continuous supply of soft water. This is done by keeping one tank in service and either regenerating or holding the second tank in a standby regenerated condition ready to go on line when the in-service tank exhausts. The soft water regeneration feature assures high overall soft water quality. The solid state CRS control mounted in the single switch over valve provides a simple, reliable solution for applications requiring uninterrupted soft water flow over wide capacity ranges. Advanced Electronics State of the art programmable microprocessor combines operating efficiency and ease of use. Conformal coating protects the components even in high humidity environments. An easy to read alphanumeric LCD display continuously indicates system status. Backlighting makes it easy to read, even in poorly lit surroundings. Simple Programming Start-up is as easy as inputting model, pipe size, salt dosage, water hardness and time. The control performs all other calculations. Non-volatile EEPROM memory holds all these settings eliminating the need to reprogram after a power loss. Non battery based backup operates the microprocessor in the event of short-term losses. Self-Diagnostic Electronics The CRS monitors system operation and reports system problems. A built in speaker can transmit SPA (System Performance Analysis) data via regular telephone lines to a service center for troubleshooting and corrective action.

Easy Installation Valve and controls come pre-wired and ready to program. Simply plug in the 24-volt transformer supplied, twist on turbine cable and the electrical installation is complete.

1. Exchange capacity is based upon water with 10 gpg total hardness (as CaCO3) free of color, oil and turbidity at the service rates specified. Capacity shown is for both tanks. 2. Continuous flow rates shown indicate performance when one tank is in service and one is regenerating. Operation at peak flow rates for an extended period of time is not recommended due to reduced capacity and high-pressure drop. 3. Pressure crop and weights are approximate; tank dimensions are nominal.
