Vistex Release 60C BI Extractor Documentation

Starting from Vistex Release 60C, BW extractors are delivered as part of standard software installation. This document will guide you through different extractors available as part of Vistex installation in ECC and also the instructions on how to activate and enhance the extractors. BW Extractors: The extractors are broadly classified into three components. 1. IP (Incentives and Payback Module) 2. Global 3. Agreements (Master data and Conditions) 1) The component IP includes different applications like Billbacks Chargebacks Sales Incentives Customer Rebates Purchase Rebates 2) Global component consists of applications Claims 3) Agreements component has all the agreements master data and transactional data irrespective of the applications mentioned under IP component.

Vistex Release 60C BI Extractor Documentation

Extractor Mechanism: Vistex IP extractors work similar to standard SAP LO cockpit extractors that are delivered for Sales Orders, Deliveries and Billing. IP extractors can be enhanced in LBWE and RSA6 similar to standard SAP extractors. All the Vistex extractor data loads can be managed through a transaction code: /IRM/IPBWSPRO instead of standard SBIW transaction. There are provisions in this tcode to run- setup jobs; delete setup data and to run delta programs for each application. The delta mechanism is different depending upon the type of data that is being extracted to BW. IP and Claims- All the IP and Claims applications follow standard LO cockpit mechanism where the delta needs to be extracted by running the corresponding delta program. After the initialization and delta programs are run, the delta queue can be found in RSA7 or LBWQ. Agreement Conditions - Delta for Agreement condition records work based on the change timestamp of the agreement header data; example even if the one condition record changes or if a status changes on the header of the agreement, the entire condition records for that agreement are sent to BW. Since this is timestamp based, there are no before and after records. Agreement Attributes - Agreement master data datasources also work similar to Agreement conditions based on timestamp.

Activating and Installation of Vistex Data Sources: Activating Vistex datasources are similar to SAP standard datasources using the RSA5 transaction. Before activating the datasources in transaction RSA5, Vistex applications hierarchy needs to be generated in RSA5 and RSA6. Following is the procedure to generate new Vistex application hierarchy. Without this step Vistex datasources will be in UNASSIGNED node. Perform steps i) and ii) as shown below: i) Go to T-Code: /IRM/IPBWSPRO and execute Add Vistex Application Hierarchy Component as shown below:

ii)

Next step is to transfer the standard application component hierarchy. Note: By executing this program, the CUSTOMER CUSTOM applications may be assigned to NODESNOTCONNECTED. The CUSTOM nodes need to be manually assigned back to the correct nodes again.

Once the above steps are performed, all the Vistex datasources will be found under /IRM/VISTEX application component in RSA5 and RSA6 as shown below.

Vistex Datasource Enhancement: Use the T-Code: LBWE to find the data sources which are under /IRM/ application component in LO cockpit. Follow the standard procedure to customize or enhance the data sources.

Setup Job programs: Number Ranges: Below shown Number Range needs to be maintained before the SETUP programs are executed. The Number Ranges needs to be maintained in ECC and BW system separately. T-Code: SNRO

Use the T-Code: /IRM/IPBWSPRO to load set up tables or delete or to execute delta jobs. Delta and Setup jobs can also be scheduled using the below programs from job scheduler.

***** Note - Below steps are not required if the BI Content transports are downloaded from SAP OSS ***********
In ECC a new Vistex Namespace entry needs to be created as shown below. Add VISTEX /B299/ namespace entry in ECC through SE03.
