    The continuity of tradition of the Indus valley people,The Adivasis of India and the modern anthropological practices of natives of India especially Kerala is highlighted . (Vamana avathar happened millennia before Sri Rama ).Once the King of Kerala assumes position as Ballava (Vallabha ) of Valluvanad, he also gives blessing in this way.Thodas of Nilgiri also does the same. Such intricate anthropological practices and subaltern histories of a people, their life styles and continuity of culture sugests Indian culture to have developed in this subcontinent protected by oceans on 3 sides and Himalayas on the 4th, and continued to flourish until very recently .Even now we can see practices and relics of ancient people in this subcontinent. Indians as a ethnic group are the last of the old world people who have preserved their languages,cultures etc even after several years of slavery and submission.While other ancient civilizations pershed, India survived.For those who search for Human consciousness and thought processes India is still a treasurehouse.
