tonight. Pittsburgh is now 24-for-26 (92.3%) at home on the PK during the playoffs. The Penguins are 39-for-43 (90.7%) overall on the PK. This mark ranks third in the league. Tonight was the first loss for Pittsburgh against Boston in the postseason since Game 2 of the 1991 Wales Conference Finals, a stretch of eight games. Pittsburgh’s streak of nine consecutive postseason home games with three or more goals scored also came to an end.

Player Notes: • • With his five shots on goal tonight, Evgeni Malkin now ranks second in the league with 51 postseason shots. Tonight was the first regulation loss for Tomas Vokoun during the playoffs. He holds a record of 6-2 since becoming the Penguins’ starting goalie, and is 16-3 in his last 19 decisions (regular season and playoffs) since March 2. Tuukka Rask recorded his first shutout of the postseason, stopping all 29 shots he faced. He recorded five shutouts during the regular season. Boston’s David Krejci scored two goals tonight, bringing his total for the postseason to seven. He is now tied with Sideny Crosby and Pascal Dupuis for second most in the NHL behind Chicago’s Patrick Sharp (8).
