Have you ever thought to yourself, “I wish I could be as fun and creative and charming and peculiar and attractive and good with simple Word documents like those writers of The Fargo Beat!”? Well if you have, we may be looking for you to join our writing team. We are on the hunt for a couple people who love Fargo Moorhead, are relatively organized, like to think they are occasionally amusing, and are willing to make our standard salary of $0. PLAINS ART MUSEUM  Plains Art Museum announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,800 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2013. Leadership support has been provided by MetLife Foundation through Blue Star Families.  Plains Art Museum, working with partners Minnesota Museum of American Art and Arts Midwest, is showing Modern Spirit: The Art of George Morrison, an exhibition of 80 drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures from an important Native American. Modern Spirit surveys the prolific career of George Morrison (1919 –2000), a distinctive and wellloved artist whose works bring together concepts of abstraction, landscape, and spiritual reflection and draw from his physical and spiritual homelands—speaking to both American urban settings and to the solitude of Northern Minnesota.

SHAMELESS PLUG  Gooseberry Park Players presents THE classic American musical, Oklahoma, July 16-21. They believe in providing a theatre opportunity for every child. They are a fee free program - meaning there is no activity fee to participate. Due to this, GPP not only relies on the ticket sales, but more importantly on fundraising and sponsorships.
