It is organzied in a way to challenge students to use their hands and brains versus being used for report writing. This book covers the Ancient Greeks and much more. It is filled with photographs and illustrations, as well as hundreds of links to further knowledge. This 415 page book would be best used with upper elementary students and higher. The illustrations in this book will be memorabe to the student. The book is for 9-12 year olds and is an excellent way to introduce Greek myths to the upper elementary student. A great introduction to Homer for upper elementary aged students. It introduces both the Illiad and the Odyssey in a fast-paced interesting way. Intended for readers ages 912, it is 176 pages long. This large, hardbound book is full of illustrations, maps, and photographs. It covers information not only on Ancient Greece, but also on the Roman Empire and Ancient Egypt, which would be useful if trying to make comparisons. This books tells the story of how the Greeks tricked the Trojans and rescued Helen of Troy. It is a Step 5 book from the Step-Into-Reading series. This title for grades 3-5 has humorously illustrated pages and takes students to Ancient Greece during the beginning of the Olympics. However, it is the text at the bottom which provides the main information such as daily life details, the role of women, and information about Greek wars. This 72 page title for 9-12 year olds provides information on what it would have been like to be a child growing up in the time of the Anceint Greeks.
