JUNE Wed 26 Transition morning Th 27 Potential Strike action/ school full/partial closure

Mr Stoneman’s Great North Swim Well done and congratulations to Mr Stoneman who successfully completed his 1 mile Great North Swim event in Lake Windermere on Saturday 15th June and achieved a personal best by swimming the mile in 45 minutes, despite the freezing cold water. £235.92 was collected in donations from Barlow Hall and in total Mr Stoneman raised £1092 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. ******** Strike Action We are now in a position to confirm that school will be closed to pupils for safety reasons on Thursday 27th June as a result of strike action planned by the School’s teaching staff. This action will include most schools including local Chorlton schools. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and hope that you were able to put contingency plans into place when we first notified you of the possibility of closure on 25th May 2013. *********** Transition Morning Wednesday 26th June Transition to new classes starts on Wednesday next week when children will be spending the morning with their new teachers. Children will go to their current classes as usual for registration and will then move on to their new classes for the morning before returning to their current class in time to go to lunch. *********** Non—uniform Day 28th June There will be a summer themed non-uniform day on 28th June at a cost of £1 donation to raise funds to support the family event planned by the FAB group to occur during sports day.
