natcomms@immi.gov.au <natcomms@immi.gov.au> To: Paul Farrell <paulfrancisfarrell@gmail.com> Hi Paul, Apologies for the delay, please a response below. If you wish to attribute this response to a named individual, please can you quote the department's spokesman, Sandi Logan. "The Department of Immigration and Citizenship acted in accordance with relevant legislation and departmental policy, along with wellestablished international procedures, in all aspects relating to this removal. "The department does not issue false travel documents and it is standard procedure, should an individual not be cooperating with return arrangements, to approach the government of a country, where it believes an individual has right of entry and longterm residence, to issue a travel document. "Of course, this would only happen when the department was satisfied, in cases where protection matters are raised, that all outstanding claims were finally determined, including merits review processes. A Migration Review Tribunal matter relating to a bridging visa refusal is not grounds to stall a removal, given it is not a substantive visa application."
