Lorna Condon, senior curator for libraries and archives at Historic New England, will give an illustrated talk

, “Ephemera Defined: Featuring Treasures from the Ephemera Collection at Historic New England,” on July 11 at 7 p.m. at the Portsmouth Athenaeum. The lecture will be held in the third-floor research library, 9 Market Square, and is free and open to the public. Reservations are suggested. Call the Portsmouth Athenaeum at 603-431-2538. This will be the final lecture in conjunction with the Athenaeum exhibit "Ephemera: the Art of Everyday Printed Matter,” which is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m. The free exhibit will run until Sept. 15.
