Building off of the momentum of past conferences, Golden Networking brings back High Frequency Trading Leaders Forum 2013. The conference brings together recognized practitioners, regulators, experts, and strategists from around the world to discuss the most intriguing topics currently impacting

the speed trading industry. Garnett Wilson, CEO of Afinin Labs, will speak in a panel titled “Robotic Markets: As High-frequency Trading Embraces Robotic Markets Worldwide, How will Participants be Able to Find new Opportunities to Sustain Alpha Creation? " in New York City on July 30th, 2013. Garnett Wilson is currently CEO of Afinin Labs Inc., St. John’s, Canada, where he develops evolutionary computation systems for equities trading. Garnett received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dalhousie University in 2007, and he is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University. During his postdoctoral fellowship studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Verafin, Inc. he developed solutions for the detection of debit fraud and money laundering activity in consumer bank account data. Garnett is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society's Computational Finance and Economics Technical Committee. Garnett’s extensive educational background coupled with his professional experience will provide an interesting and informed angle for his contributions to the panel he will participate in. Afinin Labs Inc. is a company founded by two internationally recognized computer scientists: Dr. Garnett Wilson and Dr. Wolfgang Banzhaf. The company was founded with the goal of commercializing a machine learning system that is highly accurate in predicting the impending rise or fall of live equities prices. The algorithm has been successfully used by professional traders to provide them with quantitative analysis.
