Dear Christian Friends:

We would like our letter to come into yo\ir homes early this Christmas season before the last minute rush of festive preparations prevents you from taking time to sit down and read our message# This is a joyous time for those of us who keep the
true meaning of Christmas alive in our hearts. But it is sad to see that many have forgotten, or perhaps have never known, that the same Person who first came to earth in the humble form of a baby born in a lovly manger, is coming again without His glory veiled. Vife read in II Thess 1^73^3 "...when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." Let us think of that second coming, and allow the certainty of that to so influence our thinking that, in a special way at this season when many have forgotten Vlhose birthday it is, we learn to "hold lightly things of this earth."

Many of you will thank God with us for the joys of the past two weeks. Five persons have made decisions for Christ and been baptized on the past two Lord's days# All of them have been attending preaching services regularly and have been much in our prayers. Two of them are fine, mature young men (one a college professor to v/hom the Word of God is a new book and v/ho has been studying and asking questions for two

or three months) and the other three are young women.

These victories came at a time

to be of special encouragement to us. So often the time of sov^ing the Seed and wait ing for it to spring forth into life seems discouragingly long, but when we see the harvest finally reaped, all else is forgotten in our joy. For this we have come to

We a-i'e also beginning preparations for a Christmas program with our large group

of children in Sunday School. V>Je usually have f.-;*om 70 to over 100 in attendance each

Sunday. Recently we have gained some much needed help in handling this group, and
we have more hopes for a profitable, well*"planried Sunday School than at any other previous time. We have tsen very much av/are recently tliat God is answering prayer, solving problems, and working in ov.r midst in a special way. VJe are grateful to

Now for a personal word about our family. Just now we are gratefully enjoying good health. Dorothy and Dawn are filled with an abundance of energy and giggles.

Another new experience with the coming of Fall is the beginning of "school" I have begun teaching Dorothy a kindergarten course prepared by the CALVERT company in the States, and both mother and daughter are finding it to be a rewarding experience. Dawn continued to feel so left out and lost that just this past week I planned and began a "school" period for her, too.

She studies with mommie for a while after Dorothy finishes her school for the day,

I teach them Bible for an hour and English conversation for an hour On the same evening Dick holds his class for high school boys, which he has held for many months. Dick carries a heavy responsibility in preparing three messages a week ?;ith his interpreter. He studies the Korean text, too, as he seeks to prepare Mr. Cheuh for interpreting his messages correctly. It is much more difficult than preparing messages in English, and much
more time consuming*
