Little that matters to God Little that God does not appreciate: 1) A little leaven leavens the whole

lump.  1 Cor 5:6 – Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? – Evil -Moral.  Gal 5:9 – A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump – Evil - Doctrinal.  Mt 16:6 – Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Evil - Hypocrisy 2)     Jam 3:5 –Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! Vs6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body. Vs9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, Pro 12:18 - There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. Pro 26:22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

3) Pro 6:10 10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:  Vs6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:  Vs8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.  Mt 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 4) Lk 7:47 –Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.  One who thinks he is forgiven little would love the Lord little.  Remember our burden of our sin was great which the Lord carried and paid the penalty. Little that God appreciates: 5) Lk 19: 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.  Faithful in little – authority over many.  Maybe, only 1 gift given or 5 or 10 etc - Whatever is given is to be traded and earn. 6) Jn 6: 9 there is a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fishes; but this, what is it for so many?  Mt 15:34 – 7 loaves and few little fishes  What you have is enough for God to bless it for the profit of many. 7) 2Kg 5:2: And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife.  A little girl- maid of the mistress of Naaman captain of Syria but a leper.  She was but little – What can she do? Ready to direct a neady soul to the light of the gospel.  What you know is enough for God to bless it for the profit of many. 8) 1Kg 17:12 –And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.  Woman at Zarephath – Elijah after being fed by raven brought bread and flesh morning and evening.  You may think that you have come to the end. The last you have is enough for God to bless it for the profit of many.

9) (a) Mk 3:9 And he spoke to his disciples, in order that a little ship should wait upon him on account of the crowd, that they might not press upon him.  LJC asked for a little ship – to wait upon him – to be ready – steadfast not faint. The Lord has need of you even if you are small. In fact he needs the little one. (b) Jn 21:8 – And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. – That will be blessed with plenty- the had to drag the net for it could not be contained in the vessel in which they were. When we are empty then only can he fill us. He will fill us inspite of our nothingness. 10) 2kg 4: 10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.  Woman at Shunem – Hospitality for Elisha (b) Gen 18:4 –Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:  Abram - Little water to wash the feet. Rest under the tree.
