Description of the class: So far the students have completed three years of English classes (about 300 hours). Recent work: Modular revision and assessment Lesson aims: To create interest in the topic To promote discussion and to practice a dialogue using the names of certain countries, languages and nationalities; To raise expectation and create involvement in the reading task To present & practice the vocabulary about future actions To express ideas and opinions about the topic and to use the going to form to speak about future plans; Content: Vocabulary: - language related to countries Functions: reporting, expressing opinions Grammar: Prepositions of place, Going to future Methods: conversation, reading, discovery, explanation, brainstorm, illustration, observation, debate. Aids (materials): textbook, Mimio board, video projector, worksheets, posters, drawings , coloured pencils and markers, flashcards, CDs, DVD, Activity book. Interaction: frontal individual pair work group work.

Feed back: Both the teacher and the students provide continuous feed back through observations. The teacher checks that the students complete the tasks entirely and correctly at any stage of the lesson, she gives extra explanations whenever necessary, she monitors certain students in order to prevent possible problems. When they work in groups, the students are asked to agree on what their group is to present to the class. Assessment: The teacher assesses the students` answers through observations and envolves them in the correction process. The students are also asked to express opinions about their own and their colleagues` answers. 5. Pre-listening activity 5`

After that, the T asks the Ss to open their textbook in order to try and make similar dialogues before reading the lesson The T asks the Ss to listen to the recorder . The T turns the Cd player.

After that, they solve ex 1 pg 80 writing the dialogues on the blackboard . The Ss listen to the lesson. The students read the lesson in turns. Ss answer the questions, making true sentences about them..


While-reading activity 5`

The T asks the Ss to read and she asks them to answer some questions. The T also elicits answers and explanations for the (possibly) new vocabulary. The T hands out copies of the worksheet containing an exercise . Quick discussion on the topic of holidays. The T asks questions like Where are you going to spend the weekend/next year/next summer/next winter?, Who is going to visit Italy/Greece/Spain/France? What sport is he/she going , to play? etc.


Post-Reading activity 5`

The Ss answer the T`s questions about the task .


Vocabulary consolidation The T explains the task from the worksheet 5` Answer True or False about some sentences. If necessary, the T gives more explanations, writes the words on the blackboard.

The Ss work individually and write on the worksheet Several Ss read and answer the comprehension questions, as well as the T/F or DK. They also write the new words, when necessary.


Workshop 12`

The T conducts a short workshop .The T aslo asks the Ss to work in groups to make a couple of sentences using the drawings that are stick on the board. The T monitors the way in which the Ss work in their pairs and after that she asks them to assess themselves and their colleagues. The T indicates the Ss that gave good, interesting,original answers throughout the class. The T marks pupils with grades or just makes remarks about Ss activity. The T explains the task for their homework. Read/Write the lesson and ex 3 pag. 81 T grades the Ss and shows her appreciation for their activity. Greetings
