KEYNOTES:
BROKEN BATS: The Keys have had five or fewer hits in four of their last five games and have scored two or fewer runs in those four. On Friday, Frederick had 14 hits, 13 of them singles, and scored nine runs, an anomaly during their recent offensive woes. Since being no-hit by Salem on Wednesday, Frederick has had just four extra-base hits and is batting .176 (6-for-34) with runners in scoring position. FOR STARTERS: Both of today’s starting pitchers have pitched well against their opponent, though Winston-Salem’s has more two show for it. Chris Beck is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts against the Keys, throwing six innings and allowing two runs in each. In Brady Wager ’s lone start against the Dash, he allowed three runs in six innings and took the loss in a 3-2 game. OHLMAN VS. THE DASH: In 11 games against the Winston-Salem Dash this season, Keys C Michael Ohlman has crushed Dash pitching. Ohlman is 13-for-38 (.342) with five doubles, two triples, and two home runs. He’s driven in 10 runs and has an OPS of 1.227. He went 1-for-4 Sunday.

This Day in Keys History
July 22, 1995: Harry Berrios’ solo homer in the seventh innings proved to be the game-winning run in a 4-3 home victory over Winston-Salem. Jim Foster also hit a two-run home run for Frederick.
