TIDEWATER PATRIOTS BASEBALL

July 26, 2013 Dear Sponsor: The Tidewater Patriots Baseball Club is a not-for-profit organization specifically organized to promote and participate in Nations Baseball, AAU & USSSA league and tournament play as an independent travel team. The Patriots will be competing against other teams across the Tidewater area and teams from all over the state of Virginia at the local, regional, and possibly national level during tournament play. Our primary mission is to educate our youths as to the basic and advanced fundamentals of baseball while promoting sportsmanship in a competitive team atmosphere. . We promote the highest caliber of play and teach these young men about the purity of the game of baseball. By stepping to the plate, regardless of the outcome, players will develop a sense of pride, dignity and accomplishment for having participated. Ultimately, our hope is that each one of these boys will possess the skills to participate in middle school and then high school baseball at a superior level. Our young men will be provided with lasting friendships as well as team and personal skills that will benefit them in all phases of their lives. While performing all of the above, we also require our boys to maintain a B grade average in school. Our team consists of exceptionally talented and gifted YOUNG athletes from the Tidewater area. These players have earned this privilege due to their talent and desire to make a commitment to learning and playing quality baseball. It requires a lot of time and dedication on the part of the players, coaches, and families to compete at this level. The Tidewater Patriots will be competing against other teams across the Tidewater area and teams from all over the state of Virginia, as well as teams from the Southeast. Endeavoring on a project such as this cannot be accomplished without the support of the community. To attain our goals, as stated above, we have developed a budget of $17,000 to properly train and equip our team. In addition, our budget includes registrations and some travel expenses to these and other tournaments. Each member of the team pays a commitment fee of $800.00, leaving an unfunded portion of the budget of more than $9,000. Community sponsorship is instrumental in the promotion of baseball to a group of fine young gentlemen. We are an LLC organization with a Fed Tax ID and therefore, your contributions are tax deductible. Recognition will be given based upon your level of participation in our program. You can be assured that you will be well represented as a sponsor of our team. Any contribution to our team would be greatly appreciated. Please make checks payable to the Tidewater Patriots.
