Objective: Students will use research to create an informational travel brochure on an assigned country. While students will research many aspects of the country, the following will be included on the brochure: geography, history, culture, people, current political climate, and food. The breakdown of the grade is as follows:

Timeline: Wednesday, May 13: Get group assignments, discuss project, and go over all handouts Thursday, May 14: The Cay Test, Survey for PBOE, and some research time in the Computer Lab Friday, May 15 –Monday, May 18: Research using books in the classroom Tuesday, May 19: research time in the Computer Lab Wednesday, May 20: Olympic Day Thursday, May 21-Friday, May 22: Create brochure in class; will present on Friday. This project will coincide with much of what you’ve learned in both your language arts and geography class this year. I expect great things out of you, and I know you can do well on this!
