Manager/Pet Groomer 1993 to September 2002 - Paws & Claws, Cedar Rapids, Iowa  Manager responsibilities include but not limited to: open and close the store, count down the drawer in the morning and at shift change, order supplies, do paperwork on the animals, keep shot records updated, give vaccinations as needed, answer complaints, get AKC/APR certifications as needed, interview applicants, train employees, keep store clean and neat, supervise volunteers, feed and water animals and clean cages, answer phones, drop deposit at night, make grooming appointments, assist customers, stock shelves;  Groomer responsibilities include but not limited to: check in grooming appointments; keep records up to date; order supplies; bathe, clip and, dry animals, put on bows or bandana as requested, clean ears; keep room clean, disinfect table, disinfect blades, disinfect scissors; keep equipment in good repair;

 Fill in for kennel staff as needed, be on call for emergency situations.
