For optimum cooling performance from your unit. COOLER LOCATION (IMPORTANT TO READ) (When used in Indoors) Place the cooler in front of an open door or window.THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Congratulations on your purchase of this versatile Honeywell Evaporative Air Cooler. Following these rules will ensure your cooler will work aseffectively as possible. 2 . Ensure thatthere is adequate cross ventillation in the room by leaving adoor or window open opposite from the cooler. fill the water tank with water & ice (if available) to increase its cooling power.

USER TIPS COOL ~ EFFICIENT ~ NATURAL Evaporative air cooling is the natural way of cooling. This chemical change requires heat which is taken from the water molecules. the result is a mixture of air and water molecules. Honeycomb Cooling Media Warm and dry air Pump Water Cold and humid air Evaporative Air Cooling Mechanism 3 . resulting in cooler air propelled from the unit. The evaporative air cooler cools the air by means of the evaporation of water. similar to a breeze blowing across a lake. When water evaporates into the air. This breeze drops the temperature and has a relaxing cooling effect.

The room should have doors and windows openedto allow free air flow. The evaporative air cooler should not be used in enclosedspaces. It should not be expected to cool as efficiently as a refrigeratedair conditioner.then exits via the door. so that outside air is drawninto the evaporative air cooler. 4 . which allows a noticeable temperature decrease. OFF ON 0 OFF ON 0 3 2 OFF ON 1 COOL SWING 3 2 OFF ON 1 COOL SWING The evaporative air cooler can also be used to humidify dry airduring cool weather. The evaporative air cooler works bestwhen placed near an open window. NOTE When the product is used for the first time the Honeycomb cooling media will have an odour which will dissipate in a week or so of initial use. The evaporative air cooler is not an airconditioner as it does not use a compressor or refrigerant gas. The maximum cooling effect is feltwhen a person is in the flow of air coming out of the evaporativeair cooler. It must be kept level and there must be water in thewater tank.USER TIPS The recommended maximum relative humidity level is 60% orless. the air circulates in the room. To be used for humidification thewindows and doors should be closed to allow the humidifiedair to accumulate. Thetemperature decrease will be greater in drier climates becausehigher evaporation occurs when the humidity is low.
