EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (C) 4TH AUGUST 2013 PARISH NEWS PARISH FINANCES Weekend of 27th 28th

July: Loose 693.48. Envelopes 403.50. Standing Orders 446. Total 1,542.98. The collection for Day for Life amounted to 544.48. Many thanks for your generosity. TOGETHER IN FAITH STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE We have received an appeal from the Together in Faith Stewardship Committee. The role of this committee is to take responsibility for the stewardship of the Together in Faith restricted funds (currently 4.97 million received in gifts and Gift Aid and growing steadily) and how these are managed and allocated in accordance with the restricted objectives of the campaign. They are volunteers and meet quarterly with the Together in Faith team from Bishops House and with the relevant Diocesan clergy. It was agreed when they formed that it would not be the intention for all of them to remain in position for the full term of the 5-year Together in Faith campaign. Each member of the committee would stand down after about 18 months and be replaced by a new committee member in such a way that continuity of the committees work is balanced by the presence of new faces. Additionally it will give the opportunity for all parts of the Diocese to be represented on this committee. The time has come to seek new members and they welcome you to consider if you would like to be part of the committee. They welcome interest from all, especially those with skills or experience in Finance or Marketing. If you think you would be interested in helping the Together in Faith initiative by serving on the committee, please either telephone [01494 763880], email to sg.mog@btinternet.com or via the Together in Faith administration team at Bishops House. Finally they thank us for our valuable support to Together in Faith, our support has contributed to the total Together In Faith donations of 72,302 received to date by donors in our parish of Our Lady of Peace. CONGRATULATIONS to Erin Isla Webb-Reilly who is to be Baptised on Saturday, 10 th August. Please pray for her parents and her Godparents. CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah Bartlett and Scott Roughton who are to be Married on Saturday, 10th August. We wish them every blessing.
