A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE LEAGUE OF COLLEGE COUNCILS - UP DILIMANS SUPPORT FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF GENDER RIGHTS IN UP DILIMAN WHEREAS, the LEAGUE OF COLLEGE COUNCILS UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, DILIMAN establishes its support for the advancement of gender rights in UP DIliman, through the passage of gender sensitive policies, mandatory gender sensitivity training for administrative officers, faculty members, staff members, and gender rights education among students of the University of the Philippines Diliman campus. WHEREAS, the LEAGUE OF COLLEGE COUNCILS UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, DILIMAN shall call for: the creation and legislation of policies in the University to ensure that the campus is a safe space for all students regardless of gender; the creation and legislation of policies in the University to ensure that the campus is a safe space for all students regardless of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Gender Expression; the implementation of corresponding sanctions to anyone who violates the gender rights of all students; a wider and more-intensive mandatory gender sensitivity training that will be taken by members from all members of the university community, including students, lecturers, instructors, professors, and staff members; the creation of a Gender Committee under the administration of each School or College, which shall ensure the implementation of policies on gender and ensure that no gender rights of their College member is violated; each local student council of UP Diliman to have a Gender Officer; the institutionalization of a General Education (GE) subject under the Social Sciences and Philosophy (SSP) domain of the Revitalized General Education Program (RGEP), which will focus on gender rights and other gender-related issues; and the creation of an Adolescence Office in the University Health Service that shall take care of reproductive health concerns of students, faculty, and staff of the university. WHEREAS, the LEAGUE OF COLLEGE COUNCILS UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, DILIMAN shall be submitting this resolution to the Diliman Gender Office and to the Office of the Chancellor.

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the LEAGUE OF COLLEGE COUNCILS UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, DILIMAN adopts and enacts this RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE LEAGUE OF COLLEGE COUNCILS - UP DILIMANS SUPPORT FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF GENDER RIGHTS IN UP DILIMAN, effective August 1, 2013. Done this August 1, 2013. Signed this 1st of August, Two Thousand and Thirteen, by the members of the League of College Councils University of the Philippines, Diliman.
