Mr. Rex W. Tillerson ExxonMobil Corporation 5959 Las Colinas Blvd. Irving, TX 75039 Re: The Main Thing -- Tarsand equipment megaload resistance grows Dear Mr. Tillerson, The attention that Omega Morgan is receiving in Idaho over its 644,000 pound megaload will continue as the move continues in Montana this evening, according to the organizers’ posts online, for example: “According to the Montana Department of Transportation and its issued megaload permit, the module cannot travel in the state on Fridays or Saturdays and will move from its current location to the Bonner truck stop on Monday night, August 12. Northern Rockies Rising Tide (NRRT), No Shipments Network, All Against the Haul, and other anti-megaload activists sent an alert and are organizing a Monday night solidarity protest.” These people are really organized in defiance of moving equipment headed for the Alberta tarsands operations, and I believe this should be an omen for you to begin to ponder why it is that people all across America support them.
I will continue to remind you about your speech at the Boy Scouts of America Annual Meeting in May (video http://bit.ly/rex-main-thing). Imagine yourself the captain of a ship of state leading a change of course toward a world of lifepreserving carbon-free energy.
