Closmore 651-329-9923 STATEMENT FROM SENATE, HOUSE REPUBLICAN LEADERS St. Paul -- Senate Republican Leader David Hann (Eden Prairie) and House Republican Leader Kurt Daudt (Crown) issued the following statement in response to Governor Mark Dayton's proposal Tuesday. "Last week, Republican and Democratic legislators exchanged proposals for the Special Session. Republicans believe providing funding for disaster relief is priority number one and then we should undo two of Governor Dayton's damaging tax increases -- sales tax on warehousing and on equipment repairs -- to prevent hardworking taxpayers from paying more," said Senator Hann. "Upon finally receiving the Governor's proposal today, I called him and asked if he would meet with all four legislative leaders to discuss a bipartisan, compromise agenda and he agreed," added Rep. Daudt. ###
