SNET qualifications

The SNET was approached by the project team of a leading global manufacturer of packaging solutions and aerospace technologies to use our global sandbox for a PeopleSoft client demo. The team decided the preferred approach to meet the project’s goals and timeline was to leverage a public cloud. By provisioning the required PeopleSoft v9.1 environments in less than a half day, the client was able to make the most efficient use of the global design workshops, avoid project delays and significantly reduce the setup cost of the system and its ongoing operations support . The solution was available quickly at both client and off-site locations through the public cloud and as a stand-alone environment, it did not conflict with other global users. While the project team began its workshops, the client had the time to research hosting options, database platforms, hardware, and technical resources required for future-state environments.

About the SNET
The SNET includes technical specialists in key application areas, such as SAP, Oracle/PeopleSoft/JDE/Siebel; middleware products, such as WebSphere and WebLogic, Java, .NET; and open source custom development frameworks, Informatica, Hyperion, and others. Our application specialists can provide support to projects involving application architecture, design, procurement, installation, and project management. Our infrastructure specialists can provide support in projects involving cloud computing, virtualization, all major operating systems and vendors, network connectivity, backup/restore, and storage. SNET core competencies also include IBM, Microsoft, VMware, HP, and Sun. Our data centers provide a resilient, highly secure infrastructure with 500 TB SAN storage, more than 1,400 servers from major technology vendors, a 24x7 call center, redundant power with diesel generator, 24x7 system monitoring, fire suppression, backup/restore, and global internal and external connectivity.
