6. As an informed young adult and global citizen, where do you see the UN in 2023? Provide your personal opinion on the future of the UN, commenting on one or more of the following: the possibility of reform of the Security Council; the likelihood of reform of other organisational and managerial aspects of the institution; the future of the various developmental and socioeconomic arms of the UN in contrast with the its evolving international peace and security mandate; the institutions continued relevance as an integral player in the international arena. 7. In January 2013, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon appointed Ahmad Alhendawi of Jordan as the first ever Envoy on Youth. In this capacity, Mr Alhendawi is mandated with the task of bringing the voices of young people to the UN System and supporting the SG in addressing his thematic priority of working with and for youth as part of his current Five-Year Action Agenda. Drawing upon the particular needs of youth in your country, in your opinion, what are the top two priority issues which you would advocate for Mr Alhendawi to bring to the immediate attention of the UN? Explain why these two issues are of particular importance to youth in your country, and how greater attention to these issues would contribute towards youth empowerment at home and abroad.
