4. Instrumentation Module Module Training Content Summary This Course covers the tasks or responsibilities usually performed by System Administrators on a project. The Course includes the following activities: Setup an AVEVA Instrumentation Project Add Groups and Users Assign Users to Group with Access Rights Integration with other AVEVA Products 0.5 Duration (Days) Pre-Requisites

AVEVA Instrumentation Project Administrator

Good knowledge of SQL Server and their domain structure, Well versed with the setup and Installation of SQL Server on a workstation or on the network. A good working knowledge of AVEVA Instrumentation and related AVEVA Products.

AVEVA Instrumentation Engineer

This Course covers task normally performed by an Instrument Engineer during a project life cycle: Create user defined Tag formats for Instruments and Loops. Generate Instruments & Loops List. Define and manage Instrument specifications. Generate Instrument Datasheets in Microsoft Excel format (xls or xlsx). AVEVA Instrumentation Wiring Manager

This Course covers task normally performed by an Instrument Designer during a project life cycle: Create and manage Equipment (Junction Boxes, Cabinets/Panels, etc.). Perform cable terminations between Instruments and Equipment. Generate and export Cable Schedule in Microsoft Excel format (xls). Generate Cable Block Diagrams Generate Termination Reports Generate Customized Reports using Report Manager Create & Manage Catalogues for Cables, Field Devices, I/O Modules,etc.

Familiar with Instrumentation and Process engineering data. Familiar with Instrumentation from a Design or Operations perspective, which includes various types of Instruments, Cabling and basic knowledge of Process Control System (PLC/DCS). Each Trainee must have a basic idea about creating Templates, Title Blocks and defining attributes using AutoCAD. Each Trainee must have atleast AutoCAD 2010 or 2011 installed on their machines. Users must have the free VBA Enabler installed for the version of AutoCAD being used.
