Its an honor to have the support of the top conservative leaders in Houston, said Smitherman. These gentlemen have worked tirelessly throughout the years in electing conservatives to office and promoting conservative values in Houston and around Texas. These endorsements will further solidify support for my campaign in an area that contains almost a quarter of the votes in a statewide Republican Primary. Our conservative values are under attack from the federal government. Time and again, Barry Smitherman has shown he has the backbone to stand up against those attacks, suing Obama's EPA seven times.
