Role:  Box  Office  Manager  -­  Ranelagh  Arts  Centre   What's  Involved?  Ranelagh  Arts  Festival  2013  requires  a  Box  Office  Manager.  The  role  would  involve  co-­‐ordinating   a  team  of  4  people  who  would  man  the  box  office  from  12pm  to  7pm  Mon-­‐Fri  and  from  12pm  to  6pm  on  Saturdays   for  the  two  weeks  leading  up  to  the  festival  and  for  the  duration  of  the  festival  from  16th  to  the  29th  of  September.   Where:  26  Ranelagh,   Dublin  6  When:  16th  to  29th  of  September         Role:  Website  developer  -­  Help  Home  First   What's  Involved?    You  will  be  expected  to  develop  a  website  with  a  number  of  pages  of  what  the  charity  does.   Volunteers  are  expected  to  have  their  own  computer  and  will  be  able  to  work  from  home   Where:  Can  work  from  their  own  home.  When:  15  hours  a  week     Role:  Homework  Club  assistant  -­  High  Hopes   What's  Involved?  Assist  children  from  disadvantaged  backgrounds  (some  who  present  with  social  and  emotional   difficulties  along  with  poor  attitude  to  learning)  aged  between  4  and  12  with  homework  from  Monday  to  Thursday   Foundation.     Where:  Harold's  cross  national  school  Clareville  Rd  Dublin  6w  When:  4  hours  a  week  Mon-­‐Fri  afternoons     Role:  Supporter  Services  Assistant  -­  Irish  Cancer  Society   What's  Involved: •Answer  incoming  calls  and  forward  to  relevant  personnel  in  a  timely  fashion.  •Make  outgoing   calls  to  current  supporters.  •Review  incoming  registrations  and  contact  registrants  as  required.  •Enter  data  onto   the  Society’s  database,  Care.  •Undertake  administrative  duties  as  required,  including  word  processing,  answering   the  telephone,  filing  and  assisting  with  mass  mailings.  •Deliver  the  highest  standard  of  customer  service  to   supporters  through  effective  and  timely  communication,  in  person,  phone,  email  and  mail.  •Assist  with  special   projects  as  required  or  self-­‐determined  to  enhance  the  Society’s  fundraising  capacity  and/or  programmatic   objectives.    Where:  43-­‐45  Northumberland  Road,  Dublin  4  When:  Full  time  for  three  months     Role:  Communications  Support  Volunteer  -­  Mark  Pollock  Trust   What's  Involved: Develop  and  implement  internal  communications  strategy  from  weekly  meetings  with  Mark   Pollock  and  the  head  of  Fundraising  •  Liaise  with  each  chair  and  their  community  via  weekly  emails  and  calls  to   gather  updates  on  engagement  and  activities  in  each  city.  Share  news  and  targets  from  Run  in  the  Dark  HQ  •  Report   back  to  HQ  with  news  updates  from  each  Run  location  •  Construct  and  manage  weekly  email  with  league  tables   from  each  Run  location     Where:  Dublin  2  When:  10  hours  a  week  for  6  months     Role:  Granby  Park  Pop-­Up  Park  Steward  -­Upstart   What's  Involved: Upstart  is  now  transforming  a  vacant  site  in  Dublin  City  Centre  at  Dominick  Street  Dublin  1  into  a   summer  Pop-­‐Up  Park.  The  park  will  open  at  the  end  of  August  for  one  month,  and  feature  open-­‐air  cinema,  a   theatre,  restaurant  and  events  for  the  whole  community  to  enjoy.  All  volunteer  skills  are  welcome.  In  particular,  we   need  stewards  to  assist  with  keeping  the  park  safe,  clean  and  to  welcome  visitors.  Please  read  more  about  the  park   project  on  www.upstart.ie  or  register  at  www.upstart.ie/become-­‐a-­‐volunteer/   Where:  Dublin  1    When:  Once  off  anytime  until  the  end  of  September             For  further  information:       Dublin  City  South  Volunteer  Centre     T:  +353  1  473  7482     E:  info@volunteerdublin.ie     W:  www.volunteerdublincitysouth.ie
