August 26, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: The 139-year-old San Fernando Pioneer Memorial Cemetery will stage an encore presentation of our acclaimed outdoor educational theatrical experience “Voices of Pioneer Cemetery: Flashlight Ghost Tour” this coming October 25th & 26th and November 1st & 2nd. The show is produced in collaboration with the L.A. Mission College Drama Club under the guidance of esteemed producer-director Guillermo Avilés-Rodríguez. The first run of Flashlight Ghost Tour in 2010 raised funds to help pay for a ground penetrating radar survey that located 214 unmarked gravesites. Although the cemetery is both a California and City of Los Angeles historical landmark, we receive no funding and rely exclusively on volunteers and donations to operate educational events such as the Ghost Tour. To produce the second “Voices of Pioneer Cemetery: Flashlight Ghost Tour” – which will raise funds for further restoration of Pioneer Cemetery – we are seeking sponsorships from angel donors and organizations such as yourself to help cover production expenses. In gratitude for your support you will receive listing in the sponsor section of our program and 2 complimentary tickets to attend the V.I.P. opening night performance of the show. Please note that the San Fernando Valley Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. We appreciate any support you may offer us to produce the show and further build the cemetery as an important educational tourism attraction. We thank you in advance for your contribution and look forward to seeing you at our opening night performance. Most sincerely,
