As a fourth generation Valley resident. And for the past nine years I have been Chief Deputy to Congressman Brad Sherman.My family has deep roots in the Valley. saw a newspaper ad about work in Southern California helping to build a new University in Westwood. I was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills and raised by a single Mom with a lot of help from my grandmother. brother and I. My grandparents Patricia and Bill at home in the Valley during World War II. serving on the advisory board of the Valley Cultural Center and as a founding board member of the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission. I am proud to be able to lend a hand. After graduating from UCLA. veterans trying to get the medical benefits they have earned. 17 . Tired of the bitter Iowa winters. I love being able to help Valley residents solve problems. I know that people still choose to raise their families here seeking greater opportunity and a better quality of life. My Mom worked two jobs and sacrificed to keep the family together. I was about 1 year old in this photo. For the past nine years I have worked as Chief Deputy for Congressman Brad Sherman. My Mom. or small businesses trying to resolve a dispute with the IRS. including seniors with issues concerning Social Security and Medicare. My great uncles Henry and Rob in the Valley in the 20’s. I have also been an active volunteer in the Valley. the university my great-grandfather helped build 75 years earlier. a skilled bricklayer. Vote Tuesday. I worked for John Kerry’s Presidential campaign. he packed his family’s belongings and moved to the San Fernando Valley—and we have been here ever since. My first job after graduating from UCLA was working on John Kerry’s Presidential campaign .
