In Ancient India the sage Shri Bhrigu Ji who was called a Maharishi, reflected upon human affairs to guide future generations of mankind on a path of rightousness (Dharma) and bliss (Moksha). The sage had deep and profound insight in to the past, present and future of our collective as well as individual existence with the help of divine powers. The sage Shri Bhrigu Ji out of compassion for mankind gave revelation to human beings so that they could cope up with the problems and pressures of the world and move towards spiritual nature of their beings. Shri Bhrigu Ji gave revelations and wrote predictions for only those persons whom he could foresee as the ones who would seek his refuse and consult him in ages to come. The sage Shri Bhrigu Ji was considered as one fo the most ancient seven sages (Sapta Rishi) of India who were entrusted with the task of maintaining righteousness on earth. He was a seer an enlightened Soul, who could transcend time in respect of past, present and future and make predictions to guide human beings for their own welfare. The original predictions were written on palm leaves. Later on they were handed down from generation to generation in different forms. The best method to Identify one's own reading in these manuscript relevant to one self is to tally them with details of horoscope. But in certain cases even the necessity of horoscope is dispensed with and depending up on the intensity of the faith of the one who seek advice, one can have predictions without the horoscope. Everything is written in a dialogue form. The dialogue is between the sage Shri Bhrigu Ji and his disciple the sage Shri Shukra Ji. Both of them are engaged in discussion about the welfare of those who would seek their audience. The sage also refers to specific problems and prescribes prayers and other remedies to surmount those problems. If these prayers and remedies are performed carefully and with devotion, the individual concerned is freed from the sins of the past lives. The sage then assures the fulfillment of the predictions of the prophecies made by him. The samhits (the handwritten leaves of the great Lord) covers all important aspects of one's life. The predictions and prophecies in the book Bhrigu Samhita are a synthesis of astrology and ancient Indian system of Mantra, Tantra, Prayers Penance meditation and Yoga. In certain case the Samhita also provides diagnosis of diseases along with their remedies. It is a miracle that exceeds all powers of imagination. The best way is only to experience one self. It for this reason that Lord Krishna Proclaimed in Gita, the Song Divine, "Of Maharishis, I am Bhrigu and again so "Among the wise, I am Shukracharya". Lord Vasistha told Rama that both the Rishi's were "living liberated guides of men by their knowledge of all that was to be known". Such was the preeminence of the Maharishi that it was he who was authorized to test all the three gods (Brahama, Vishnu & Mahesh) on behalf of all the enlightened Souls who had gathered on the banks of River Ganges for the purpose and it was because of his Testimony that Lord Shri Hari was accepted as the highest Laod. Shri Hari accepted Shri Bhrigu's Lotus feet called (Shri Vatsa) on his chest as a token of recpect for the Pre-eminance of the Rishi.
CHINESE ASTROLOGY According to Chinese astrology, the year of birth tells not only your age but also indicates a certain phase or aspect of a sixty year circle of time.
Legend has it that Chinese Astrology and the order of the twelve animals that define it was determined thousands of years ago by Lord Buddha himself. According to ancient scripts, Buddha realised that the Chinese nation needed a reorganisation. So on the occasion of the Chinese New Year (which occurs on different dates from mid-January to mid-February), Buddha called upon the entire animal kingdom for a meeting. But only twelve animals (rat, buffalo, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and boar) showed up for this meeting. Buddha then honoured them in the order of their arrival by endowing upon them with a year of their own. From then on, each successive year of the Chinese calendar bore that character of the animal that gave it a name and so, those born in specific animal years are marked by the nature of their natal animal. Yet, all people born in the same animal are not the same literally and do differ from each other in certain aspects. These differences are determined by the various elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each of these elements distinguishes one person of the same animal from the other. In Chinese system of astrology, each year begins early in the calendar year on a new moon and relates to one of the twelve animals. Their qualities "animate" the year and colour it with their distinct natures. Therefore you may find yourself born in the year of Rat or a horse or even a dragon as the lore says it. People born in a particular animal year share certain common traits in the same manner as people born in common zodiac do. Your dreams can be rewarding, bizarre, scary, and somewhat thrilling at times, but it‟s up to you to take it seriously or not. Take the opportunity and explore your dreams today. Find out about your dream symbols and the reasons why you are receiving them. When you look up, either online or in a dictionary, to “dream”, it states that it‟s a combination of thoughts and a cycle of sounds and images channeling through our mind when we sleep. Dreams play such a vital role in peoples lives, but many people fail to recognize the seriousness of dreams. The human mind is so powerful, and now we are just scratching the surface. Analyzing dreams and the symbols isn‟t something that just happened over night. Believe it or not, humans were analyzing dreams as far back as 4000 B.C.E. Lately, we have been extremely lucky to have two famous dream theorists called “Sigmund Freud” and “ Carl Jung”. These brilliant men single-handedly changed the way we analyze and study our dreams. Even though Sigmund Freud‟s interpretation on dreams are not taken that seriously anymore, theorists like Carl Jung, who was Freud‟s predecessor, broke away from him and brought new ideas to the table. Carl Jung had a more open-minded approach to dream, where Freud didn‟t. Jung would ask, “what does the symbol mean to you?” Freud‟s theories on dreams were too involved with phallic symbols and our animal instincts, that it led people to stray away from his beliefs. Despite who was right or wrong there is one thing that they did agree on. They agreed that when we sleep there is a communication between the conscious and unconscious mind sending messages. What are Dreams? Our dreams are made up of a combination of thoughts, images, and emotions. The majority of our dreams are thought out during our REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage. The period of REM usually takes up close to a quarter of our sleep, or roughly around 120 minutes a night. Most of the time when we get a full night‟s sleep we will participate in or around 3 to 5 laps of REM sleep, each getting gradually longer as the night progresses. Most people over the age of 10 start having up to 4 to 6 dreams per night. Unfortunately for some of us, when we wake up from
sleep, we forget all of our dreams. Did you know that we lose up to 90% of dream in the first minute of waking up? The good news is that dream recall is very easy if done correctly. It just takes a bit of patience and practice. There are numerous of ways that you can remember your dreams upon wakening. At Dream Dictionary we can show you the proper way on how to remember your dreams so it becomes as easy as breathing. Types Of Dreams: Understanding your dreams can be quite an exhilarating experience once you jumble the symbols and find out the true meaning. Your unconscious mind is not going to give you the answer right in front of your face, but it will do so with hidden meanings and symbols. Some of the types of dreams that we experience are “Lucid Dreams”, which is the ability to control your dream settings while you‟re asleep and being fully aware of it. No matter who or where you are, humans tend to experience certain types of dreams more than others. The most popular types of dreams that we get are Teeth Dreams, Falling Dreams, Naked Dreams, and Flying Dreams. Another type of dreams we unfortunately get are Nightmares. This unpleasant dream can be dreadful and possibly ruin most of our day when we get up. Though many people don‟t understand that nightmares are recurring dreams that you haven‟t paid attention to. The unconscious mind is telling you to “WAKE UP” on your deep-rooted issues that you may have over-looked in your waking life. When something is hovering over our heads and we have trouble dealing with the problem, it‟s possible you will get a reoccurring nightmare from time to time. Interpreting Dreams: Many people ask, how do I interpret my dreams? Believe it or not, it‟s not rocket science. It just takes a bit of time with some practice. As we stated above, we forget almost 90% of our dreams the first minute you wake up. Here are some steps that will help you get the kick start for you to remember your dreams. First, try using a tape recorder or writing down everything that happened in your dream the moment you wake up. Ask yourself what were the important symbols that stood out in your dream? Who was in your dream? How did I feel when I woke up? With all of this good information, go back to our Dream Dictionary and apply the meanings to find out what they mean. You should first start by keeping a log on your dreams in a journal or on your computer. By keeping track of this, it will help you strengthen your memory muscle. If you keep writing down your dreams, you will start to notice you can retain more and more dream information as time goes on. This will help you pick up on more important key symbols that you may have missed out on before. What’s The Meaning Of Dreams? So what is the purpose of our dreams? Nobody can give you a definite answer on why we dream and it‟s still a mystery. One thing that we do know is dreams have hidden messages that try to guide us in the right path. Many psychologists use their patients‟ dreams to find out what the problem is and how it can be fixed. It‟s really up to the individual to take on his or her dreams. If you want to explore your dreams, you will see what needs to be addressed or what needs to be changed in your life. You might
even be able to foresee future events. Many people don‟t think they have psychic abilities until they start remembering their dreams. What we know about dreams and dreaming is just the tip of the iceberg and testing the waters is an exhilarating experience. What is a Dream Dictionary? Many people have trouble understanding what a dream dictionary really is and how to use it properly. A dream dictionary is like using a Webster‟s dictionary but the only difference is the symbols that we use to translate them. Let‟s say, if you get attacked by a “shark” in your dream, this doesn‟t necessarily mean that you‟re going to be killed by a shark when you swim. A dream dictionary will help you figure out that maybe the shark possesses the same qualities that you have, or maybe it‟s somebody you know. In order to fully understand your dream symbols, you have to get more in tune with yourself. Dreaming can be more than a simple state of the brain. We can experience waking dreams, daydreams, even dreams that appear to be shared or prophetic. Some people are lucid dreamers – a special skill that not everyone can master. Some people experience specific recurring dreams, while certain sicknesses can bring on night terrors. Sometimes we can even experience false awakenings, where we think we‟ve woken up, but are still dreaming. Here we‟ll explore some of these phenomena. Daydreams: Daydreaming was once thought to be a lazy pursuit – I‟m sure most of you have been reprimanded for daydreaming at one point or another. It is, however, a metabolically intense mental process, and can be very rewarding. In recent years, scientists have demonstrated that daydreaming is a fundamental feature of the human mind – so fundamental, in fact, that it‟s often referred to as our “default” mode of thought. Daydreaming is a crucial tool for creative thought, and allows the brain to make new associations and connections. It can spawn new ideas or methods; the daydreaming mind is free to engage in abstract thought and imaginative ramblings, and as a result, we‟re able to imagine things that don‟t actually exist. Nightmares and Night Terrors: Chances are everyone here has experienced a nightmare. A horrible dream, complete with emotional turmoil, which causes the dreamer to wake and stay awake, nightmares are fairly common occurrences. The main purpose of a nightmare is to wake the conscious mind – usually to change sleeping position. They can also be caused by stress or over-exhaustion. Surprisingly, children under the age of five do not experience nightmares at the same rate as older children, while children over five seem to have nightmares at a rate of once per week. Night Terrors, however, are not as common. A typical night terror episode usually occurs in the first hour of sleep. The subject sits up in bed and screams and appears awake but is confused, disoriented, and unresponsive to stimuli. Although the person seems to be awake, they do not seem to be aware of any surrounding presence and usually do not talk. The person may thrash around in bed and does not respond to comforting by others. A person‟s heart rate can escalate during the terror, along with sweating and harsh breathing Lucid Dreams: Some people, referred to as Oneironauts or Lucid Dreamers, are able to control the setting and plot of their dreams. A lucid dream can begin in one of three ways. A dreaminitiated lucid dream (DILD) starts as a normal dream, and the dreamer eventually concludes that he or she is dreaming, while a wake-initiated lucid dream (WILD) occurs when the dreamer goes from a normal waking state directly into a dream state with no apparent lapse in consciousness. A mnemonic-initiated lucid dream (MILD) can happen when the dreamer intentionally affirms to himself or herself that he or she will become lucid during the upcoming sleep. Reaching lucidity can sometimes occur due to dream-signs or spontaneously upon
remembrance. These dreams can be fantastical, where anything is possible, and can often be very real – complete with touch, smell, and taste sensations. Recurring Dreams: Recurring dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation or a problem that keeps coming back again and again. These dreams may recur daily, once a week, or once a month. Whatever the frequency, there is little variation in the dream content itself. Such dreams may be highlighting a personal weakness, fear, or your inability to cope with something in your life – past or present. False Awakenings: Have you ever thought you have woken up and gone about your daily morning routine: getting up, brushing your teeth, eating breakfast and going to work, only to wake up “again” and realize that what just happened is just a dream. That sensation is referred to as a false awakening. Some people can experience four or five false awakenings before they truly wake. This phenomena was the basis for the film Groundhog Day.
Crystals are nature‟s gift to man that augment healing. Crystals are found in all shapes, sizes, colours and composition. Each crystal has a unique vibrational resonance. They owe their unique qualities to their mineral content, their inherent geometry and the colour frequency they emit. The clear quartz crystal is one of the most sacred stones of ancient cultures. Its clarity and transparency give it a mirror quality through which things can be seen clearly. The natural quartz crystal symbolizes white light energy. The power of the crystal can be found in its structure - growing and reaching up toward light from the deepest parts of earth. It is a conductor of energy - both as a receiver and a transmitter. It is important to keep your crystal clean in order to protect it from outside negative vibrations. Your personal crystals will attune themselves to your vibrations, as you will attune to the natural vibrations of the crystal. Choose crystals that seem to speak to you or that you feel attracted to for best results. Clear quartz crystals have been used for centuries in healing. Egyptians used them in pyramids to attract the power contained in light. Their triangular shapes held mystical appeal. American Indians have long revered the crystal as a sacred symbol of light. Crystals have been used to cut a newborn's cord, and are often buried with the dead in addition to use in many ceremonies and rituals. In the Tibetan culture, crystals are considered sacred objects that are empowered with the elements. Many cultures carry them in pouches for protection from negativity. Crystals have been used for healing the body, transforming the spirit, inspiring intuitive insight, guarding against negative vibrations, and smoothing the energy flows of spirit and body.

‘Yat pinde tat brahmande’ is a Sanskrit verse that was written 8,000 years ago. The expanded translation states, "Whatever is inside you is outside you. Whatever is outside you is within you." This means that the air, water, fire, earth, and cosmic energy outside you is within you. No scientist, atheist, or cynic will deny that he is made out of 75% water, he needs air every second, he needs to maintain a body temperature of 98.6° Fahrenheit, and he needs food from the Earth to survive. This food comes from the upper layer of the Earth. If we go further down into the Earth, you will find the roots which help us to survive. If we go down further into the Earth, then we discover the minerals which we need to survive. The most essential element of the above mentioned breakdown of the Earth is the concentrated form of energy or as is known by Vedic science, the essence of Earth...or gemstones. The right proportions of food, air, water, and heat give us life and energy. Similarly, the right gemstones will provide a harmonious and more improved life. You may say that you don't eat gemstones but you do eat food. Gemstones work the same way that lightening effects you, or how the Sun ray's give you Vitamin D, or how the sound of soothing music relaxes you. The aroma of onions will make you cry even though you don't touch them. Gemstone energy works on your mind. When the mind is balanced, you will make less mistakes and you will have more time, money, and energy to construct a better future.
You may still argue as to how a piece of rock will help you. Take for example a knife made out of iron. However, when the doctor uses the knife with the right knowledge, that piece of iron becomes a life saving tool. Vedic Astrological Science is based on the physics of Nature and the chemistry of the Earth. Combining the five basic elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Cosmic Energy, you conclude at Vedic astrological gemstones. The more you harmonize with these energies, the better conductivity of success will develop within you and around you. Nature provides these elements, without which you cannot exist. Therefore Nature controls your every second. Furthermore, Nature inspires the mind, which in turn influences the body to act positively or negatively according to the harmony of cosmic energy and environment. Remember, we generate the right prescription based upon your own very unique birth place, date, and time of birth.
Nature will not come knocking on your door to help you. You must take advantage of this light and put it to work for a better future.
Please Note Vedic Gemstones also known as Jyotish Gemstones, Astrological Gemstones, Healing Gemstones, Holistic Gems, Navratna, Jyotish Gems, Planetary Gems, Birthstones. By wearing properly prescribed gemstones under proper supervision, you can benefit from the natural healing characteristics of Vedic astrological gemstones. We do not recommend these Vedic astrological gemstones to be applied in lieu of necessary medical attention. By no means is this information a selfhelp panacea. However, we do recommend the application of Vedic astrological gemstones in efforts to reduce discomfort in a natural and time-demanding situation. One must remember that we are not qualified medical experts. However, we have empirical evidence that utilizes the examination of your horoscope and family background for a prescription. Our 'dosages' are monitored and are based on the size and type of gemstones. The ancient scientific scriptures consistently mention the relationship between color, planets, and gemstones. With the almost sacred color stratification, ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet), we see the correlation perfectly. The cosmic rays that manifest themselves in various wavelengths (colors) have unique affects on the health of our mind and body. The purest of the ROYGBIV rays resides concentrated in precious gems, and so, the gems are of great curative value.

Some rubies are pinkish red or violet/purplish red in color, with different colors and shades of color often found in the same stone. Manikya or Ruby balances Surya (Sun). Surya represents the king of the solar system in Jyotish. It also represents Authority, Power, Self, Father, Body and Health. Depending on the placement of Surya in your birth chart, the wearing of a ruby may be very auspicious in strengthening the positive influences of Surya. Surya, the Sun acts like the thalamus in the human physiology. The Sun is the central focal point
in the solar system as is the thalamus in our body. All activity in the solar system revolves around the Sun. In our physiology, all activity is controlled and ordered by the thalamus. Enlivening the positive influences of Surya strenghens the physiology and strengthens the qualities of Surya in our daily life.
BLUE SAPPHIRE - Neelam (for Saturn)
ndraneela or Blue Sapphire is known for its striking lustre and color which range from light to very dark blue. Blue Sapphires may be given a variety of cuts; the most common being the oval cut. Shani or Saturn represents Longevity, Discipline, Authority, Ambition, Leadership, Honesty, Perfection, Humility, Elders, Denial, Delays, Misery, Adversity, Accidents, Conservatism and Dutifulness. It's role is often symbolized as a servant. It's influence is often seen as restrictive or obstructive yet its influence also seeks to bring balance. It's influences may be harmonized by the Blue Sapphire. Shani is furthest from the Sun. Shani or Saturn in the human physiology is expressed through the activities of the putamen. The putamen, like Shani in the solar system, is placed at the outer edge of the basal ganglia. It's influence, like Shani, is that of a servant. It receives major input and instructions that it transmits to the basal ganglia.
YELLOW SAPPHIRE - Topaz/Pukharaj (for Jupiter) Pushparaga / Pukhraj or Yellow Sapphire is a lesser known gem in today's market. Known as Oriental Topaz until the mid-1800's Colors vary from light yellow to golden and honey yellow. They have considerable lustre, come in a variety of cuts and are increasing in market value. Pushparaga / Pukhraj or Yellow Sapphire harmonizes and benefits Guru or Jupiter, the largest graha (planet) in the solar system. It signifies Knowledge, Wisdom, Virtue, Fortune, Justice, Education, Future, Religion, Philosophy, Devotion, Children, Distant Travel, Spirituality, Truthfulness, Prosperity and Charity. Guru is the major instructor or teacher and influences action with the highest order and balance. Guru guides action in the most harmonious and uplifting manner and balances inner and outer input while simultaneously performing and monitoring action.
Guru or Jupiter's influence in the human physiology is through the globus pallidus. This globular structure is like a teacher in the physiology. It gives balanced and higher-order instructions, balances and maintains harmony between inner and outer input, manages and executes complex systems and enlivens activity in the brain while guiding action. It signifies highest-order thinking - Knowledge has organizing power.
PEARL - Moti (for Moon) Mukta or Pearl is the most valued of the organic gems. A Pearl is a very special and exclusive gift of nature considered universally as the oldest known gem. The most valued come from the ocean and have a visible lustre or sheen with the most common being white or cream with a rose overtone. Mukta or Pearl represents the queen in Jyotish. The Pearl is often called the queen of the sea. The Pearl harmonizes Chandra, the Moon which directly influences Emotions, Mind, Affluence, and Public. Wearing a Pearl can bring harmony and stability to these influences. Chandra influences the Seasonal, Monthly and Daily Cycles and Rhythms in the physiology and our emotions. Chandra, the Moon, occupies a central role in the solar system and in our physiology. This influence is represented by the hypothalmus in our physiology which controls our behavior, our emotions, our hormonal and reproductive cycles and our body temperature. It nourishes the physiology like a mother or queen and occupies a central place in the centre of the brain with the thalmus.
RED CORAL - Moonga (for Mars) Vidruma / Moonga or Coral is an organic gem that comes from reefs and atolls. The most valued Coral is the noble red Coral seen here (Corallicum rubrum). The color is uniform throughout with no pits or color streaks. Polished Coral has a vitreous lustre. Due to pollution, Coral is an endangered species. Vidruma or Coral influences Mangal or Mars which is responible for the Field of Activity, Energy, Courage, Ambition, Sports, Property, Strength, Commander, Technical Ability, Mechanical, Forcefulness and Bravery. In Jyotish, Mangal is known as the commander-in-chief, due to its influence in organizing and managing direction in activity. Mangal or Mars is like a General with its focus on precision and power in activity. Mangal in our physiolgy is associated with the Red Nucleus, Pars Compacta, and Amygdala. These structures in the brain control activity by providing checks and balances, activating and inhibiting impulses in the brain, and maintaining steadiness and precision of movement. These influences can be strengthened with the wearing of Vidruma or Coral when recommended.
EMERALD - Panna (for Mercury) Marakata / Panna or Emeralds are known by their distinctive green color and can vary from light to dark green. All Emeralds contain inclusions formed during their growth. Inclusions indicate the stone is natural. The most common cut is the step or Emerald Cut. Marakata or Emerald harmonizes and strengthens the Positive Influences of Budha or Mercury. These influences include Intelligence, Education, Speech, Teaching, Learning, Communication, Confidence, Writing, Drawing, Trade, Humour, Wit, Discrimination, Diplomacy, Intellect and Commerce. Budha or Mercury is the Prince in Jyotish and is influenced by Surya and Chandra. Budha or Mercury in the human physiology is associated with the sub-thalamic nucleus which resides in the brain and receives input from various parts of the brain which directly influences its activity. Similar to the placement of Budha or Mercury which revolves around Surya (Sun) and is directly influenced by that relationship, the sub-thalamic nucleus activity is influenced by the input it receives and modulates its output accordingly.
HESSONITE - Gomedh (for Rahu) Gomedhaka / Gomedh or Hessonite is a variety of grossular garnet. It has good lustre and looks transparent. The color is brownish-orange and is often called Cinnamon Stone. These gems are often given step or mixed cuts. Hessonite Garnets are found especially in Sri Lanka. Gomedhaka or Hessonite Garnet represents Rahu, the ascending node of the moon. It's natural significations include Worldly Desires, Worldly Benefits, Laziness, Gratification, and Ignorance. It is by nature unpredictable and creates sudden changes and Influences, Rigidity and Passion. It is similar to Shani or Saturn in its nature and influence. Traditionally, Rahu is known as the head of the dragon. In the human physiology, Rahu corresponds to the head of the caudate. The caudate is involved in the control of the saccadic eye movements (the abrupt short shifts of focus in the eyes). The caudate influences memory in relation to orientation in space. The caudate is responsible for our ability to change behavior patterns.
CAT'S EYE - LehSuniya(for Ketu) Vaidurya / Lehsuniya or Cat's Eye is the name given to the variety of chrysoberyl which beautifully displays the phenomenon of chatoyancy. The numerous inclusions line up to form very fine, parallel crystal needles. Cat's eyes are always cut in cabachons to emphasize the eye effect.
Vaidurya or Cat's Eye harmonizes Ketu which is traditionally known as the tail of the dragon. In Jyotish, Ketu is the descending node of Chandra (Moon). It's influences are similar to Mangal or Mars and include Liberation, Abstract Thinking, Asceticism, Non-Attachment, Healing, Moksha-Enlightenment, Wisdom and that which is hidden. Ketu's influence in the physiology is represented by the tail of the caudate. It's influence is over learning and emotions.
DIAMOND - Heera (for Venus) Vajra / Heera or Diamonds adamantine lustre gives a beautiful 'fire' or sparkle to the stone. Value is determined by a grading system that rates color, clarity and weight with lesser value given to cut proportions and surface finish.. Shukra or Venus is harmonized by Diamond. Shukra represents Luxuries, Romance, Partnership, Wealth, Beauty, Arts, Comforts, Jewelry, Happiness, and Vehicles. Diamonds are also associated with Luxuries, Jewelry, Wealth, Beauty etc. Shukra or Venus has since antiquity symbollized beauty, not just in material life but inner life as well. Diamonds high lustre symbolizes the refined liveliness and loveliness of nature within and around us. Shukra or Venus in the human physiology corresponds to the activity of the pars reticulata. This structure in the physiology refines and controls action in the limbic system related to instincts, feelings and emotions etc. This action is associated with those impulses in the physiology that correspond to the qualities of life influenced most strongly by Sukra.
Lal Kitab What is Lal Kitab? (Red Book)
Lal Kitab is a mystery in itself. It is written in ancient Urdu without the element of punctuation and sounds Greek to a layman. Poetical verses interpolated with philosophy and hidden nuances of destiny form the core 'farmaans' of the book. The authorship is unknown. Lal-Kitab was originally from Persia, published in urdu language without the element of punctuation and sounds. Lal-Kitab has announced unique remedial measures to solve chronic and critical human problems in day-to-day life. The measures suggested in Lal Kitab are electrically effective in solving all kinds of human troubles and tensions, without
inflicting harm on anybody i.e. these remedies are completely self defensive against the evils created by the planets without causing injury in anyway to anyone concerned. It is said that the solutions & remedies given by Lal Kitab are infallible. Some of them may look pretty weird especially in these modern times, but that is the way our religion is, inexplicable, occult yet overawing just by sheer magnitude of its diversity. That it has rightly been termed as" The Wonder Book" of Astrology. The science of palmistry too has been explained in such an exquisite manner that each of the 42 divisions of the human brain have been related to the different houses of a man's birth chart in such a scientific manner that the sketch of the human brain reflects accurately on the lines of the palm. Basic of Lal Kitab On the basis of these lines of the palm one can draw the actual horoscope of an individual and can do the placement of planets in various houses of the birth chart. The date of birth and the birth ascendant can be found out by reading the lines and mounts of the palm, which means that an individual's accurate birth chart can be drawn by seeing the lines of his palm. Similarly, by studying the different aspects of a man's residential house his birth chart can be accurately prepared on the basis of the sutras explained in the Lal Kitab. In addition to the above, Lal Kitab has announced unique remedial measures to solve chronic and critical human problems in day-to-day life. These measures do not require the practice of ordeals, yagnas, havans and other complicated and expensive rituals, which prove more troublesome for persons who are already in trouble because of the evil effects of certain planets. These measures are again different from Yantras, Mantras and Tantras, which give various adverse effects if not followed rigorously in all their minute details. The measures suggested in Lal Kitab are electrically effective in solving all kinds of human troubles and tensions, without inflicting harm on anybody i.e. these remedies are completely self defensive against the evils created by the planets without causing injury in anyway to anyone concerned. The first part of this great treatise contains the principles and Sutras for interpretation of horoscope, termed as "Vyakaran". The birth chart of an individual is prepared like the traditional Parashar principles, but the only important difference is that the Rashis are not considered or taken into account for predictive astrology and, therefore, the digits indicating the Rashis in a traditional birth chart are scrapped. Secondly, for predictive purposes the ascendant is treated as the first house and it is regarded as the house of the first Rashi, i.e., Aries and counting progressively in a sequence up to the 12th house being that of Pisces. Origin of Lal Kitab Red Book is an ancient book, its origin and author is not known. Astrology based on Red Book is
different from other known branches of Astrology. Very little has been done to put the theory of red book astrology among the people. Other branches of astrology generally suggest very few remedial measures which are complicated and expensive, whereas in Red Book Remedial Measures suggested House wise for every Planet, which are unique and help a person to get rid of evil effects of Planetary position in the most easiest and effective manner. Our deep study and research thereon has enabled us to say that the theory and system suggested in Red Book are reliable and effective. We have tried to establish the relevance of Red Book in this modern era. Today quite a number of Astrologers have combined their astrology with Red Book. They give predictions according to their own theories and suggests remedial measures of Red Book which is not the correct way. Good or Bad planet suggested by the other astrological theories may differ from the theory of Red Book Astrology because it has different system of judging good or bad planets, so the remedial measures suggested will not give desired results or may be ineffective. Our deep study of Red Book reveals that whatever massages written in the Red Book are not properly interpreted. Many astrologers have quoted that the messages given in the Red Book are written in a hay way manner and also are irrelevant, but nobody has tried to solve the mystic messages of Red Book and arrange these messages systematically. Mystic messages given in the Red Book do have specific meanings, which cannot be understood without deep study. Lal Kitab needs no formal introduction. It is popular amongst neophytes and masters of astrology equally. The enamoured of the remedial measures of Lal Kitab and the astrologers who suggest them take pride in them. The measures are too simple to be explained in detail and too typical to be understood by an intelligent human being. Whatever be the facts they are quite effective and cannot be just given up for their simplicity. Rather they bring credit to him who suggests them.
Philosophy of Lal Kitab
Lal Kitab is essentially palmistry. The astrological contents that are added to it are to reflect the findings of a palmist or rather to corroborate it. The palm has been divided into 12 parts just as the natural Zodiac is divided into twelve signs like Aries, Taurus etc. Some types of shapes have been allotted to planets. These shapes wherever they exist on palm are supposed to be occupying particular houses of the birth chart. These signs represent the planets they are allotted to. Thus we have the twelve houses and the nine planets posted in the chart having twelve houses. The astrological chart is ready on the basis of the palm. They are often different from the birth charts prepared on astrological principles. The authenticity of astrological charts is to be corrected by the chart prepared from palm imprints. How charts
are made from the palm is not our subject here. We propose only to discuss and deal with astrological contents of the book. Whatever be the system or method of preparation the chart has ascendant or the lagna and the other twelve houses numbered serially. Though they are the 12 sings of the Zodiac the signs have no significance in the chart. For signs, we may say, each horoscope is to be treated just like the horoscope of Kala Purusha; that is, house No. 1 should be considered as identical with Aries in all cases. As Sun is exalted in Aries and debilitated in Libra, we say that Sun is exalted in Lagna and debilitated in the 7th house. The lordship of the houses will also go likewise. Mars is always the lagna Lord and Venus the 7th Lord. In the palm we talk of lower Mars and upper Mars. In Lal Kitab's astrology we have two Mars, one a malefic or bad Mars and the other a benefic or a kind of good Mars. This is one peculiarity of Lal Kitab's astrology. Both the Mars have their own properties. As regards the comparative power of the planets it is the same as given in classical texts but at the same time we come across the concept of equivalent planets. Mercury for instance, is considered to be equivalent to Sun in power of giving results. We have a concept of blind or sleeping planets and blind or sleeping houses in Lal Kitab. The planets are supposed to have an aspect of some houses and affect the results of those houses. In Lal Kitab if the aspecting planet has no planet in the aspected house the aspecting planet becomes a blind planet in the aspected house the aspecting planet becomes a blind planet himself. It may be pertinent to note that the aspect of the planet is not the same in each house. Sun if posited in house 2 shall not aspect the 8th house but the 6th house only and if 6th house is unoccupied sun becomes blind. In short it is the house that grants aspect to the planet. The house is blind if it has no planets in it. This is the concept in astrology also. We call that house as weak. There is also a concept of the artificial planets. A group of two planets together form one particular artificial planet or a substitute of that planet. Sun and Venus together form one artificial Moon. Likewise there are artificial planets for each of the planets including the nodes Rahu and Ketu. There is also a concept of sacrificial goats. If, suppose, Sun is afflicted by Saturn the effects of Sun shall be affected. This will not affect the effects of any other planet like Mars, Mercury or Rahu etc. According to Lal Kitab the affliction of Sun shall be passed on to Ketu. In other words the affliction would affect the results of Ketu. The affliction of Saturn would be spoilt. The wife of the native may die or suffer from miseries and troubles. It may be brought on record that such effects have actually been noticed although Saturn does not represent wife nor he is the significator of wife. Such results do need a deep research and the results are likely to enrich our astrology. We have a basic assumption that a planet gives the results of the houses of his lordship and those of the house occupied by him. He may, according to some, also offer the results of house or
houses of which he is the natural significator although we have our own reservations but the planet in Lal Kitab can give results of any house by applying suitable remedies. This is a revolutionary concept and really needs deep research work like the assumption of sacrificial goats referred to above. These are some of the special features of Lal Kitab's astrology. They may look strange but it should be remembered that the basis of astrology in Lal Kitab is palmistry. Some of these features are useful in suggesting remedies. The concept of artificial planets particularly is of great help in remedies against planetary ills. Mercury is an enemy of Jupiter. If Mercury afflicts Jupiter we may try to help Jupiter because the group of Jupiter and Rahu together is an artificial Mercury. If Jupiter is propitiated Mercury shall lose half of his strength and Jupiter shall become extra strong. In case Jupiter afflicts Mercury we should propitiate Venus because Sun and Venus constitute Jupiter. By strengthening Venus we shall be increasing power of Mercury (Venus is Mercury's friend) and decreasing the power of affliction of Jupiter.
Result of Planets in 12 Houses
There are twelve signs in the natural Zodiac and 12 houses in the horoscope. All affairs of human life are divided into 12 classes and each class of affair is in the domain of one or the other house of the chart. Out of the 12 houses the first house or the lagna is the most important of them all. Being the first house all the subsequent houses stand in relation to it. Every thing depends upon the strength or otherwise of this house. Lal Kitab states that the house is the house of struggle between Maya and Jiva or the soul and matter. In other words it is the house of struggle to get liberation from the shakles of Maya. It is the throne of the ruler. The achievements or failures of the native depend largely upon this house. In Lal Kitab this house also stands for education, intelligence and longevity. Mars is the ruler of the house. Sun is the natural significator. In fact Sun represents the human soul and vitality in the physical body. House No. 1 Planet posited in house No. 1 aspects the planets in house No. 7 and unburdens itself to some extent provided the house No. 7 is occupied and not vacant. If this house is vacant the planets in house No. 1 become inert. This is also true if the lagna is not occupied. The lagna house becomes inactive or weak. This house has a relationship with house No. 11. If the latter is unoccupied the planet in lagna gives good results. If there are a two or more planet in lagna Venus becomes the judge to decide about the nature of results. In other words Venus gets importance if there are two or more planets in the lagna. Incidentally, house No. 2 is the Dharmasthana or the place of worship. Venus is its ruler. It is but natural that our own deeds or misdeeds come to play their part in the struggle for liberation. House No. 2
House No. 2 stands is the Dharmasthana or the place of worship. It also has the portfolios of wealth, education, honour and mind. This is the house that stands for the fruits of the karmas or the deeds and misdeeds of the native. Here is the seat of Jupiter the jagat Guru or the preceptor of the world at large. House No. 9 is considered to be the ocean of Karmas. It is from house No. 9 that the winds laden with water of the Karmas rise and pour it on house No. 2. For good results of House No. 2 the house No. 8 should be vacant or unoccupied. The results are likely to be better if house No. 2 is also vacant. This may appear strange but every thing becomes clear if we go by the assumptions of Lal Kitab. Planets in house No. 2 are aspected by the planets in house 2 aspect the planets in house No. 6. If houses 2, 6 and 8 are all occupied the poison of house No. 8 shall be transferred to house No. 6 through the agency of the aspect of the planets in house No. 2. If houses 2 and 8 are both vacant there is no question of compounding the troubles of 6th house. House No. 2 gets its strength from house No. 4. Wherever there is a severe onslaught of misfortunes from house No. 9 due to the weakness of Dharmasthana or the Jagatguru or Venus, house No. 4, comes to rescue. In times of adversities we should look towards the strength of 4th house, its lord the natural significator or Karaka Moon who stands for mother as well as mortality and mind. Perhaps mother's blessings may help the native tide over his/her difficulties. House No. 3 Lal Kitab refers to house No. 3 as the times of exit from this world and the gateway of exit. In other words we come to know about the time of death and its causes. As illness is one of the routine ways of exit we have to judge the illness and diseases from this house. This is an inauspicious and malefic house that way. Malefic in Dusthanas or inauspicious houses are normally considered to be a good placement. According to Lal Kitab are placements of sinners meaning Rahu and Ketu in house No. 3 is horrible. It is said that even if they are not able to bring about the end itself they shall be competent to bring about death-like position. This may happen when house 3 is occupied by Rahu or Ketu and houses 6 and/or 8 by malefic. In adversities this house gets strength from 12th house even though the planets in 12th house are enemies of the planets in the 3rd house. In a hypothetical case let us assume that Ketu occupies house No. 3 and Mars is posited in house No. 12. Mars is an enemy of Ketu but in emergencies Mars will always help Ketu despite his enmity. Ketu shall have no ill effects upon the native. Likewise Jupiter in the 3rd house and Mercury his enemy, in 12th house will not be able to cause any harm. On the other hand there will be all round happiness and prosperity. If the houses are occupied by two or more planets we have to assess the harm, in any, in respect of each planet and then draw our final conclusions. Rahu and Venus in 12th house normally being about the death of the partner - wife or husband - in 24/25th year of the native. If Saturn occupies the 3rd house simultaneously Rahu will not be able to play his mischief. Saturn will help Venus. Mercury is the lord of 3rd house, Mars its natural Significator and Rahu shall have the dignity of exaltation.
House No. 4 House No. 4 is the period of childhood and the prenatal period. It also covers the old age. Moon is the lord and natural significator of the house. It is a well-known assumption that Moon is strong by night. Similar is the position of planets in this house. They are strong by the night and also when there is some trouble. Jupiter gets exalted here. No planet gives bad effects to the affairs of this house if Moon does not occupy and of the house No. 1, 4, 7 or 10. Even the rank malefic like Rahu and Ketu become benefic for this house is Moon does not occupy any of the quandrangular houses. The bad effects of planets in house No. 4 are transferred to the affairs of the house occupied by Saturn. For the pre-natal period if any if Jupiter, Sun, Mars or Mercury are in 4th house and child will be safe and healthy in mother's womb before birth and even Rahu or Ketu would not be able to spoil that. House No. 5 House No. 5 is the house of progeny and the future of the native. How shall the native fare in the world can be known from his house No. 5. About the welfare of children also we have to judge the same house. So long as Jupiter is in good position there shall be peace and prosperity. This means that Jupiter should be benefic by his placement and position in the annual progressed charts. If houses 6 and/or 10 are afflicted the articles connected with the planet inimical to the planet in 5th house should be kept under ground in the house. If house No. 8 is also afflicted the article should be kept under ground in the ancestral house. In case house No. 5 is occupied by Rahu and Saturn, Venus in 11th house, Ketu in 8th and Jupiter in the 10th house there shall be illness initially to the partner and thereafter the son is likely to suffer. For this malady loaves of bread or flour of the weight of the son should be given to dogs for 25 to 48 days. If house 4 or 4 or 9 is afflicted the planet in house 5 shall give bad results. The planets in houses 6 or 10 will also give bad results without any regard whether they are friends or foes of the planet in house No. 5. Rahu and Ketu will influence results according to their placement in the chart. Sun is the lord of this house. Jupiter is the Karaka graha or the natural significator planet for the house. House No. 6 House No. 6 is known as the hidden world, treasure house of mercy and providential help. House No. 6 is ruled by Mercury and hence the planet in house No. 6 is likely to afflict the results of house occupied by Mercury, Ketu or Venus. House No. 6 is inspected by the planets in house No. 2 and the house No. 8 through house No. 2. In such a case if Mercury or Rahu happen to be posited in house 6 there would be no bad effects of the malefic on the house because it is the house of exaltation for both of them. Ketu is the natural significator of the affairs of the house.
It has been said above the houses 2, 6 and 8 are mutually inter-connected with each other. While attempting and modification in any of the houses including the 6th house we have to keep in view all the three houses. If house No. 6 is unoccupied there shall be no transfer of the afflictions of 8th and 2nd houses. There shall also be no aspect from 6th house to 12th house. The obvious result would be that the planets in 2nd and 12th houses will get extra strength. To avail of this opportunity is houses 2 and 3 are occupied by benefics it would always be helpful to awaken house No. 6. This is possible by serving the maternal uncles (helping them) or serving the daughters of the daughter. Except Sun, Jupiter and Moon all the other planets in 6th house would be offering their own results. Mercury and Ketu will not offer good results till the age of the planet in house 6 or 8. The question of the ages of planets will be dealt with at its proper place. Although the planets in house No. 6 are aspected by the planets in house No. 2 but the position would be reversed in the case of Saturn who will aspect house No. 2 from 6th house. House No. 7 House No. 7 is known for the family affairs, where the native has to struggle hard for fulfilling his material wants of bread, clothing the housing etc. It has been apply described by Lal Kitab in the following words. The native gets ground between the earth and the sky for food . Here Akaash, Zameen, Rizque and Akal have been used metaphorically for Venus and Mercury because both these planets are the natural significators and Venus is also the lord of the house. The native sweats himself out in search of his food and clothing etc. Sun, Moon and Rahu offer the results according to the placement and position of Venus. Bad results due to the position of Venus cannot be improved or mitigated by remedies. In other words these results shall come to pass and the remedies will all go waste. Mercury, Saturn and Ketu shall give their results at various periods. If these results are bad we may try some remedial measures and they shall be set right or improved. Normally the male planets affect the male relations and the female planets on affliction affect the female ones. In house 7 if the planets are more than two in number only the male relatives are affected. Sun, Mars and Jupiter are the male planets. Moon and Venus are females. House No. 8 House No. 8 deals with death and justice. Here justice means eye for eye and tooth for tooth. In other words the justice is on the basis of tit for tat. It is the joint seat of Mars and Saturn. Both are the natural significators of the house if Sun, Moon and Jupiter singly or jointly occupy this house the bad effects remain limited to house No. 8 and its affairs. Saturn, Moon or Mars occupying this house singly give only good fruits. Saturn, Moon or Mars occupying this house singly give only good fruits. If, however, any two or all the three together join in this house they give bad results. Saturn will give deaths after deaths. Moon shall affect the health of the persons.
Mars and Mercury occupying the house jointly give good results only if Saturn occupies house No. 2. In such a case Mars shall be malefic or the negative Mars. House No. 8 has its influence on house 6. If any of these houses is afflicted the results will be bad for both the houses. In such cases the planets in 12th house should also be judged. The planets may be friendly or inimical the planets in 12th house shall influence the results. Moon is the most powerful planet for the affairs of 8th house. Moon by strength of his placement and position can undo the ill of 12th house also. The cause of the malefic nature of 8th house will be house No. 4 through house No. 2. In other words the houses 2, 4 and 8 should be judged simultaneously. The planets in house 8, if inimical to planets in 2nd house and 11th will strike at the most vulnerable point. House No. 9 House No. 9 is known as the commencement of luck. Lucky period of the native shall start, good or bad, when the planet in this house becomes effective. The house is considered to be a great ocean. In case the house is inert, it can be activised through house No. 2 if the other two houses namely the houses 3 and 5 are unoccupied. Any of the planets who has been dormant till he transits house No. 9 and becomes active he will give results at his own age till his period is completed. Every planet has been assigned a particular period of age. By way of illustration, if Jupiter is in house 2 and transits the house in the progressed chart he will give results at the age of 16 and continue to do so till 16 years. Planets in house No. 5 aspect the planets in house 9. If Sun or Moon occupy house 9 there will be no bad effects of even Rahu and Ketu. House No. 9 is the seat of Jupiter. House No. 10 House No. 10 is treated as the ground for the foundation of luck. The planet transiting the house, according to the progressed chart, becomes a doubtful planet. This is to say that nobody can be sure about the nature of results to be given by the planet. The planet in 9 at the time of his transiting house 10 will give bad results even though the planets in house 6 & 5 are the friends. The nature of results would depend upon the nature of houses 8 and 2. The results will be bad if house 8 is afflicted and good if house 2 is in good shape. If house No. 10 is occupied by inimical planets their results shall be unpredictable An idea of the nature of results can be formed from the position and placement of Moon. If Moon is benefic good results shall be obtained. In case house 10 is unoccupied the planets in house No. 4 will not be able to give good results. Saturn is the natural significator of the house. House No. 11 House No. 11 indicates all about the native's status and condition. Personal income and earnings of the native and his relation with the world at large can be judged from this house. The results of Rahu and Ketu, if occupying the house, can be judged and they will be good normally if house No. 3 is vacant. They will however, give bad results in house No. 8. Ketu in house No. 11 would nullify the good effects of Moon and if Rahu occupies the house Jupiter's good results would be spoilt. Vice versa in each case would also be true.
Lal Kitab has given great importance to this house and planets in it. Even Rahu and Ketu give good results. If Rahu is a benefic the native shall not accept a single penny from his parents and whatever he gets will be lost to him due to one reason or the other; but all that he earns by the sweat of his own brow will be with and give him pleasure. House No. 12 House No. 12 is the place of final rest according to the deeds or misdeeds of the native. House 10 reflects the physical valour etc. of the native but 12th deals with the character etc. If houses 2, 6 and 8 are occupied the native has good character. If houses 2 and 8 are occupied and there is no planet inimical to planet in 8th house the person shall command a keen intellect of very high order. If the life span is divided into 4 compartments we can judge how the native shall fare by the houses 1 to 3, 4, to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 in each part of his life respectively. Planet in No. 11, its position and placement shall give a glimpse of worldly status of the native. This can be modified by the condition of house No. 12. For improvement of the position of 12th house we look to house No. 1 and its planets. In other words, we can improve and get better results in house No. 12 if we can somehow improve the position of planets in lagna. If lagna is vacant we should go to house No. 2 for improvement.
Sun and Its Remedies by Lal kitab
1. The Sun as lord of the 5th, the Mercury as lord of the 3rd and 6th, the Jupiter as lord of the 9th and the Saturn as lord of the 10th are directly or indirectly in some form or the other are the Karakas of the father and his property. But the Jupiter and the Sun, Jupiter and Mercury or Jupiter and Saturn occupying any house jointly carry no relevance to the knowledge about father or father's property at all. Even Mercury and Sun, Mercury and Saturn or Sun and Saturn also sitting together behave in the same manner. 2. If two or more inimical planets are occupying a single house, they will not behave as enemies. But it does not mean that they do not affect the influences of each other and show their own results of being in that house independently i.e. their conjunction does not affect their individual results. 3. Friendly planets together occupying a house become extremely friendly and help each other in producing good and auspicious results. 4. The 7th house is regarded as the Pucca Ghar (permanent house) of Mercury. If Mercury is placed in the 7th house of a horoscope, even the powerful planets like Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn occupying a Kendra, 2nd or 11th house can not affect the health of the native adversely. 5. If a female planet is placed in any house along with Saturn and both are being aspected by any other planet, then the expecting planet will become afflicted and affect adversely the persons and relatives of such expecting planet as Karakas.
6. In general, all planets in their Pucca Ghar, own house or exalted house give good results. A planet in inimical house or in a house of debilitation gives bad results. If a planet is not placed in his Pucca Ghar and the same is occupied by a planet inimical to such planet, then that planet will destroy the good results of the house in which he stands placed. 7. While examining a horoscope, the 1st, 7th, 8th and 11th houses must be examined together as they are mutually interested. The planets in the ascendant is treated as a ruler and the one in the 7th acts as his minister. The planet in the 8th is the eye of that ruler, whereas the planet in the 11th house is the ruler's foot. More planets in the 7th house than the 1st house shows that the ruler does not have required control over his minister. If the planets in the 11th house are inimical to the planets in the first house, then they will not obey the command of the ruler i.e., the results of the 11th house will be adversely affected. The planets of the 8th house (eyes) guide the planets of the 7th house (minister) and control their actions and effects. If the planets of the 1st and 8th houses are friendly, then the planet in the 7th house can not play any mischief. Mars in the 7th is considered to be highly conducive for gaining large property. But if Mercury is in the Lagna, it will destroy the properties. It will be destroyed because of the foolishness of the native, because here the Mercury being in the first house is Karaka of the native. At the same time if the Mercury is in the 8th house, it will again destroy the properties, but here the reasons for destination will be unknown and invisible, because the active elements of the 8th house are always secretive and mysterious in nature over which the native has no control. Similarly, if the planets of the 1st and 11th houses destination are friendly, they will control the planets of the 7th house. If they are inimical, the results would be bad. The planets of the 1st house aspect the planets of the 7th house. If they are mutually inimical, then the bad results accrue because of the foolishness or unworthiness of the native. The planets of the 8th house aspect the planets of the 2nd house and thereby affect their results. 8. 2nd, 6th, 8th, 12th and 11th houses must also be examined simultaneously as follows : (a) The planets of the 8th house aspect the 2nd house and thereby affect the results of the 2nd house. The effects of the aspects of the planets of the 8th house over the 2nd house are affected by the planets of the 11th house - favourably if friendly and unfavourably if inimical. (b) The planets of the 2nd house aspect the 6th house and affects its results. The planets of the 6th and 8th houses have secret relations with each other, because of which they also affect the planets of the 2nd house (+++). (c) The 12th house also affects the 2nd house (+++). If there are evil planets in the 6th and 8th houses, (because of their secret/implied conjunction) their evil power increases 10 times.
(d) If the planets in the 12th and 8th houses are inimical, the native should not visit temples and other places of worship. 9. The 3rd, 11th, 5th, 9th and 10th houses must also be examined simultaneously as follows : (a) If there is any planet in the 3rd house, it will start showing effects after the birth of the native's younger brother. If the 9th and 5th houses are occupied by Saturn Rahu or Ketu then the unfavourable changes start coming up in the native's life just after the birth of the child. (b) If there are good planets in the 9th house and there is no planet in the 2nd house, the native remains deprived of all the benefits. (c) If there is no planet in the 4th house, or it is occupied by Rahu, Ketu or Saturn, then the good results of the 10th house will not be received by the native. If 10th and 2nd houses are empty, the good results of the 4th house will go waste. (d) If the 3rd and 9th houses are bad, the 5th will also prove bad. (e) If the 9th is occupied by Sun or Moon, the 5th house will give good results. (f) If the 9th is occupied by Sun or Moon, then Rahu or Ketu in the 5th will neither affect the issues of the native or the native himself adversely. (g) If Rahu or Ketu be placed in the 5th and there are inimical planets in the 8th then strokes of misfortune will hit the native through the 11th house. The relatives indicated by the planets of the 5th and 8th houses will also be affected. In this situation the earnings of the native will also be affected very adversely, if the 2nd house is empty. Nothing will be able to save the native. Now the planets of the 10th and 5th will also turn to be malefic whatever be their natural character. The author of Lal Kitab has enunciated such significant principles of astrology that stand well tested today and as such they are of utmost importance in our day to day life. In view of this, an effort is being made here to describe some unfailing principles and astrological precautions for the benefit of people at large. Lal Kitab remedies are as follows: To begin with, no temple with idols should be constructed even for individual worship in a residential house. However, keeping photos or drawings of deities on paper is not prohibited. This is highly inauspicious for the natives born with Jupiter in 7th house. If there is a small dark room at the end of the house, where there is no passage for air or light, the same should be left as it is and no attempt should be made to facilitate natural light through opening windows etc. in that room otherwise, misfortunes will strike the residents.
Places where ornaments or money is kept secretly must not be left empty. If there is nothing to be kept, please put some dry fruits there. There must necessarily be some uncemented place in a house. But if it is not feasible, the articles related to Venus must be installed and established therein. Worship of lord Ganesh is highly auspicious for children and property. For safe delivery of children, a milk pot filled with milk and a sugar pot filled with sugar must be touched by the delivering mother and kept at some different place. After the delivery both the pots should be offered to some temple and should not be brought back from there. Good effects will multiply if the quality of the pots is good. If one's children do not survive the native must distribute salty preparations in place of sweets, to celebrate the birth of the child. Digging of wells or providing drinking water facilities for public is strictly prohibited for those with moon in 6th house of the birth chart. Any violation of the above would invite utter destruction and extreme poverty. Building of dharmshalas, sarais or inns is strictly prohibited for those having Saturn in 8th house. Saturn in Lagna and Jupiter in 5th house cause death of children one after the other, if copper coins are given in charity. Jupiter in 10th and moon in 4th cause false allegations and critical legal proceedings against the native if he builds temples or gurudwaras. Financial aid to widows and scholarships to poor children are strictly prohibited for those having Venus in 9th house. Grave consequences would folllow if a native with moon in 12th house opens schools for free education, or offers food to religious saints and Jogins. Anyone having Jupiter in 7th house must not offer clothes to anyone in charity Donations in the morning and evening hours by persons having Sun in 7th or 8th house of their horoscope will produce highly harmful and poisonous effects. The younger brother should never go for adoption of children of the elder brother. At the same time he should also not arrange the free marriage of the daughter of his elder brother. These practices would certainly lead to disastrous consequences. Saturn in 11th house makes the native desert his wife and children in young age, whereas Saturn in the groom's 2nd house proves inauspicious for the bride's family.
Mercury and Rahu combining in houses 3, 8, 9, or 12 of the groom is also inauspicious for the bride's family. Venus and Ketu together in Lagna make the native impotent. The groom is likely to be of bad sexual habits and may destroy his wealth in that, if the planetary positions are as follows: (a) Sun in 6th and Mars in 10th with the afflicted 12th house. (b) Moon in Lagna and Jupiter in 11th house. (c) Jupiter and Venus in 10th house
Mundane Astrology is the astrology of countries, otherwise known as Political Astrology. Even countries have birth charts and some have more than one based upon the time of some major event in its history, such as gaining independence. Mundane charts are subject to transits and progressions just like any other chart. In the UK there is a chart drawn up each year known as the Ingress Chart. It is set for the time that the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn, around 22nd December. This is also the time of the Winter Solstice. This chart gives indications of what may occur during the following year for the government and the country generally. In Mundane Astrology, the houses govern different aspects relating to the country as a whole, rather than the individual meanings in a natal birth chart. The meanings are similar, but applied in context of a much wider spectrum. Special note is taken of eclipses affecting a mundane chart as they signify major upheaval. The Houses and what they govern in Mundane Astrology

Many of us are affected by problems in our life where the root cause is due to departed ancestors' subtle-bodies. While this is a spiritual problem, it can manifest in many different ways in our day-to-day lives. In some cases, people have gone through years of suffering only to find out that it could have been alleviated in a few days. The alleviation would only have come about if they knew the root cause, the remedy and if they had the required know-how to put it into practice.
What are Pitra Dosha?
One aspect of these spiritual root causes of problems in our lives is the distress caused to descendants by the subtle bodies of their ancestors who have passed away (died). It is also one of the more common spiritual factor that affects all of humanity in some form or the other. Before we give a detailed explanation as to why our ancestors would want to cause any kind of trouble for us, let us first examine the kinds of difficulties that people can experience due to departed ancestors. The distress caused to us descendants by the subtle bodies of our ancestors manifests in many ways in our day-to-day lives. It creates obstacles in both, our worldly lives as well as spiritual practice. In some cases, it may seem that the entire family has a dark cloud over it and various family members are undergoing various problems despite all efforts to overcome them. The difficulties that are created due to departed ancestors come in various forms as listed below:
Inability to get married Marital disharmony Addictions (approximately 70% of addiction are due to ancestors who have passed away) Going blank in examinations despite being well prepared for it Loss of job Difficulty in conceiving a child Miscarriages
Bearing mentally challenged children or children with special needs
Death during childhood
Miscarriage, death in childhood, etc. happen when the distress by ancestors is coupled with other major spiritual causes such as destined possible death. It cannot happen solely on account of Pitra dosh. While the above types of problems may be a strong indication of ancestral problems, only a saint or a Guru or a competent astrologer can tell with certainty the root cause of a problem. At an intellectual level, we could use two rules of thumb to decide if the cause of the suffering is spiritual in nature:
All remedies to solve the problem have failed. This is especially so when the problem should be easily treatable by modern sciences such as a skin rash, chest pain, etc. A number of family members (e.g. 4 out of 5) are suffering with any of the above mentioned issues simultaneously. (The reason that all the family members get affected is that they all have the same ancestors.)
These Doshas are reflected in our Horoscope by certain planetary positions. The following are common planetary positions, which form various kinds of Pitra Doshas: 1 Venus, Saturn and Rahu, or two of these three are situated in the 5th House of horoscope- The Sun becomes malefic and shows its ill effects on the native. 2 Ketu is situated in the 4th House of horoscope- One receives the malefic effects of Planet Moon.
3 Mercury or Ketu or both are situated in 1st or 8th House in the horoscope- Mars gives inauspicious results to the native. 4 Moon is situated in the 3rd or 6th House of the horoscope of the native- The native suffers from the malefic effects of planet Mercury. 5 Venus, Mercury or Rahu, any two of these three or all the three planets are situated in 2nd or 5th or 9th or 12th House of the horoscope of the native- The planet Jupiter gives inauspicious results. 6 If Sun or Moon or Rahu or any two out of these three or all these three planets are situated in the 7th House of the horoscope- The planet Venus becomes inauspicious and gives malefic effects to the native. 7 Sun, Moon or Mars or two out of these three or all these three are situated in 10th or 11th House in the horoscope- Saturn gives malefic effects as it becomes inauspicious due to the above placement. 8 Sun or Venus or both are situated in 12th House in the horoscope- Rahu gives bad results to the native as it is rendered inauspicious due to this planetary position. 9 Moon or Mars is situated in 6th House in horoscope- Ketu gives bad results to the native. Remedies:Whenever Pitra Dosh is found in the native‟s birth chart, besides regular remedies, one should offer food to crows, street dogs and sweepers during „Shradhas‟ (the lunar paksha dedicated to the forefathers). In Vedic Astrology, offerings for Rahu and Ketu are given to alleviate the Pitru Dosh – if the curses of forefathers found in the natal chart in the form of close afflictions of Rahu and Ketu/ or aspects on functional benefics / or continuance of malefic planets dasha periods. Services to parents, elderly and needy people, sweeper and poor people is recommended. Remedies for Rahu and Ketu: Tuesday is considered as the day for Ketu. Friday and Saturday are considered as the days for Rahu. Prefer propitiatory charities for crows, street dogs & sweepers respectively. Crows in mythological literature represent forefathers. Ketu represents spiritual people.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it. While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures. During a meditation several years after developing Reiki, Dr. Usui decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five prinicples of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Dr. Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing
and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value. The secret art of inviting happiness The miraculous medicine of all diseases Just for today, do not anger Do not worry and be filled with gratitude Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people. Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer. Pray these words to your heart and chant these words with your mouth Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind The founder , Usui Mikao
Sidereal and tropical astrology
Sidereal and tropical are astronomical terms used to describe two different definitions of a "year". They are also used as terms for two systems of ecliptic coordinates used in astrology. Both divide the ecliptic into a number of "signs" named after constellations, but while the sidereal system defines the signs based on the fixed stars, the tropical system defines it based on the position of vernal equinox (i.e. the intersection of the ecliptic with the celestial equator). Because of the precession of the equinoxes, the two systems do not remain fixed relative to each other but drift apart by about 1.4 arc degrees per century. The tropical system was adopted during the Hellenistic period and remains prevalent in western astrology. A sidereal system is used in Vedic astrology, and in some 20th-century systems of western astrology. While classical tropical astrology is based on the orientation of the Earth relative to the Sun and planets of the solar system, sidereal astrology deals with the position of the Earth relative to both of these as well as the stars of the celestial sphere. The actual positions of certain fixed stars as well as their constellations is an additional consideration in the horoscope.
Traditional Vedic astrology is based on the sidereal or visible zodiac, accounting for the shift of the equinoxes by a correction called ayanamsa. The difference between the Vedic and the Western zodiacs is currently around 24 degrees. This corresponds to a separation of c. 1700 years, when the vernal equinox was approximately at the center of the constellation Pisces and
the tropical zodiac coincided with the sidereal one (around 290 AD, or at 23.86° as of 2000 according to N. C. Lahiri, renowned author of Lahiri's Ephemeris published from kolkata, India. The separation is believed to have taken place in the centuries following Ptolemy (2nd century AD), apparently going back to Indo-Greek transmission of the system. But earlier Greek astronomers like Eudoxus spoke of vernal equinox at 15° in Aries, while later Greeks spoke of vernal equinox at 8° and then 0° in Aries (cf. p. 16, S. Jim Tester in ref.), which suggests use of sidereal zodiac in Greece before Ptolemy and Hipparchus.
Sidereal western astrology
Some western astrologists have shown interest in the sidereal system during the 20th century. Cyril Fagan assumes the origin of the zodiac in 786 BC, when the vernal equinox lay somewhere in mid-Aries, based on a major conjunction that occurred that year, corresponding to a difference of some 39 degrees or days. Most sidereal astrologers simply divide the ecliptic into 12 equal signs of 30 degrees but approximately aligned to the 12 zodiac constellations. Assuming an origin of the system in 786 BCE, this results in an identical system as that of the classical tropical zodiac, shifted by 25.5 days, i.e., if in tropical astrology, Aries is taken to begin at March 21, sidereal Aries will begin on April 15. Sidereal Date April 15 - May 15 May 16 - June 15 June 16 - July 15 July 16 - August 15 August 16 - September 15 September 16 - October 15 October 16 - November 15

Signature Analysis, What does your signature say about you, handwriting analysis, how to read a signature, what does your signature reveals about your personality, What does your signature tells about you Signature is like a snapshot of your personality. Do you know when you sign your name in a personal or professional communication; unknowingly you disclose much more about yourself, than you want to. The way you write your letters small or large, dark or light, curved or angled, it gives a great insight into your character and your innermost thoughts. Writing reveals a lot about your temperament and nature. The way you sign your name represents about your personality traits enormously. Signature is considered as an image, the writer wants to show to the outer world. It acts as a writer’s calling card and is a means by which the writer wants the world to see him/her. Personality traits like honesty, communication abilities, creativity, emotional stability and self image can easily be determined just by analyzing a signature. Social skills, shyness, outgoing nature, confidence level and goal setting abilities can be identified by the way you write the letters when you sign. Signature Analysis is based on seven components which are: 1 Size of the Signature 2 Slant of the Signature 3 Use and Size of the first name and the last name 4 Underlining in the signature 5 Size of the first letter of the signature 6 Loops or backward strokes in the signature 7 Use of Dots in the signature Here are some answers to the most common questions related to Signature Analysis
The signature is illegible, what does it mean? A signature is illegible when the people have a great difficulty in reading the name. An illegible signature tells that the writer has a desire to be seen but he/she does not prefer to be noticed or known. The writer loves to keep things in private and desires to keep his/her true identity unknown. An illegible signature also means that the writer seems to be in hurry. A person who has to sign plenty of time in a day often signs in a rush, and does not care about the signature legibility. Therefore it is important to combine other traits of the handwriting to do the right analysis. What is the significance of your Signature Underline? A simple straight line under the signature reveals that the writer is self reliant and believes in following rules and traditions blindly. When the underline is showy and a bit curly, it shows that the writer loves to seek attention and generally has an attention grabbing behavior. A zig zag line under the signature reveals the trait of uncertainty in the writer’s behavior. The longer the zig zag line, the unsure the writer is about his/her ability. Going back and forth by using a zig zag line under the signature brings out the confused attitude of the writer in terms of "yes I can " and "perhaps I can’t". A wavy or smile shaped underline is a strong indication about writers humorous behavior. The signature is completely different when compared to usual writing, what does it mean? A signature which is completely different from the usual writing of the writer shows that the writer does not desire to disclose everything about him/her. When the signature is unlike the rest of the writers writing it shows that the writer wants to hide some aspects of his personality, and therefore he/she creates a new “identity” by creating the signature with a totally different look.
What does the Size of the Signature indicate? The size of the signature mainly points out the writer’s wish to be noticed. If a signature is extremely large as compared to the handwriting it shows that the writer craves to be noticed, and is very bold and confident. Large bold signature typically indicates "notice me"! Medium sized signature shows the desire of the writer to just fit in. Smaller size signature indicates less of a desire, or extremely no desire to be noticed. The I – Dot in the signature , what all information it reveals? If you have an I - Dot in your signature it can reveal a lot about you. A drawn or a creative i-dot shows that you love to stand out as being different. A small, straight line used as an i-dot reveals that the writer is restless in his behavior and possibly seems to be always in a hurry. If a writer completely ignores to dot the i –dot, it shows that the writer does not heed to details and finds it very difficult to follow minute details.

What is Tarot?
Tarot is a time-honored tradition of interpreting a pattern of cards randomly drawn from the deck's78 traditional images to gain insight and achieve greater control over issues involving
relationships, opportunities, and life changes. Tarot is over 500 years old, with roots that go back to Pagan antiquity, making it a Western repository of ancient wisdom. Interestingly, modern playing cards are a subset Tarot's 78 cards. The history of Tarot symbols is a study in the Western Mystery Tradition. Legend would have it that Tarot came out of China, India or Egypt. However, modern tarot scholars date Tarot back to 14th Century Italy and France. The Tarot cards have much to tell you. The Tarot pack is set of cards which may be used either for divination, or as a philosophical machine for answering almost any kind of question put to it through a medium or someone familiar with its powerful symbolism. The images on the Tarot, and the interest in predicting events through symbols, dates back to ancient Egypt and even older civilizations, right across the world. Tarot may have travelled to Europe from the Middle East at the time of the Crusades, in the 12th century. The earliest surviving Tarot deck, however, comes from 14th century Italy, where an Italian nobleman had a deck hand-painted as a present for his daughters' marriage. The Tarot was originally a deck of 78 cards, divided into 4 suits of 14 cards (the standard ace10, then page, knight, queen, and king) and 22 un-numbered 'triumphs' or 'trumps'. Over the years, the trumps got numbered 1 to 21, with one card (the fool) remaining un-numbered or sometimes being 0. The 4 suits are commonly called the 'Minor Arcana' and the trump cards are called the 'Major Arcana'. More loosely, any deck of cards designed for 'fortune-telling', divination, meditation, contemplation, or other non-game uses is popularly called a Tarot deck. The most commonly found suits for Tarot decks are cups, swords, wands or staffs (probably originally polo-sticks), and pentacles (originally coins).
How Tarot Works ?
A tarot deck consists of 78 illustrated cards that you lay out in a pattern, or, 'spread.' Each card is symbolic of an energy or spiritual truth, its relevance colored by its position in the spread. While focusing on the topic at hand, the questioner selects the cards, either manually or electronically. The cards selected reflect aspects of the situation in a way that invariably stimulates insight and creativity. Using the power of Synchronicity, Tarot taps both the subconscious and the superconscious Mind, the center of our psychic abilities. Anyone can gain insight from the intuitive stimulation of Tarot, even a total novice. But a gifted reader of Tarot is far more than someone exercising innate psychic abilities. An appreciation of the history and psycho-spiritual nature of the Tarot archetypes demands a classical understanding. By bringing you this element, Tarot Magic lets you give yourself indepth and accurate readings right off the bat and will lead to stronger intuitive abilities over time The Tarot cards have much to tell you.
