INTRODUCTION

We dont know much about this particular instruments history - a friend of Soniccouture, Tom Heywood, who runs Normal Bias studios in Berlin, found it in one of the citys many ea markets. It was sold to him by a vendor who specialises in DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik) era collectibles. It is a childs toy piano, made of plastic. It has a wonderfully clanky, bell like tone with very loud, distinctive key-off sounds as the keys disengage. The instrument was recorded with a spaced stereo pair of vintage Neumann mics, in Normal Bias Studios, Berlin in August 2011.

INSTRUMENTS
KONTAKT INSTRUMENTS
Inside the SC DDR Toy Piano folder youll find a Kontakt folder with some preset Instruments. You can load these into Kontakt by dragging them in, or else by using the Load menu. NB. You need a fully authorized version of Kontakt to use this library, it will not work in the free Kontakt Player without timing out. Nor can you Add Library with the DDR Toy Piano, since it is not a Kontakt Player encoded library.
