Network Performance Engineer – French speaker

(2G/3G RAN Network Optimization and Planning)

GNOC Department – Generic Information
The GNOC (Global Network Operations Center) is the technical network interface for the network owners and their customers; ensuring our customer’s networks and their customers’ services are operating at an optimum level, while retaining and improving the expected network standards and integrity. The GNOC engineers use their TELECOM skills and knowledge of systems and procedures to monitor customers’ networks and services with the primary aim to maximize network availability for their customers. The GNOC NPE engineer will provide 2G/3G RAN network optimization and capacity planning, remote network monitoring, KPI analysis, troubleshooting and corrective actions for identified network performance and capacity issues. This effort is directed at constantly improving the performance of the customers’ 2G/3G RAN networks. The engineer ensures ongoing best practices are applied as well as strictly following the established processes, procedures and communication flows ensuring efficient team work with all the other organizational units (both internal and customer).

Duties and Responsibilities
           Detailed awareness and knowledge of customers’ networks and topologies To know and work with the optimization, dimensioning, ticketing and OSS tools in place To analyze RAN performance and capacity data and trends To know and understand all relevant network KPIs and their established thresholds To detect any degradation in the RAN performance, analyze, propose and implement corrective actions Monitor capacity and detect expansion needs To log into network elements troubleshoot, diagnose and propose corrections as needed. To implement corrective changes in network elements following the established procedure with all other operational departments responsible for the customer’s network To know, understand and follow strictly the established processes and procedures To ensure that the services are delivered within the contractual SLAs To provide prompt returns to any interaction with internal and external clients To create, update and follow up all tickets related to the activity

Basic Requirements
         Bachelor Degree IN telecommunications, electronics, computer science, IT field French and English language are mandatory (at least medium level) Relevant telecom experience in network optimization, planning, operations, maintenance and / or technical support activities Understanding the general principles of networks (2G/3G) and telecommunications principles Rigorous spirit in transactions, particularly in following technical instructions Flexibility to work Non Business Hours exceptionally Ability to control and stay focused during a crisis situation Critical thinking and ability to adapt quickly to a new operation Team player
