Tracking Number BMPM007542 Incorrect path in the Sybase Initialization Script after Upgrade to CONTROL-M/Server version 6.0.03
Effected Users
Users of CONTROL-M/Server for Unix version 6.0.01 (FD4000) with a Sybase database server on an AIX computer - who are planning to upgrade to CONTROL-M/Server for Unix version 6.0.03 (FD4500).
Problem
After upgrading from version 6.0.01 to 6.0.03, the RUN script for the Sybase database contains an incorrect path. If you are using a dedicated Sybase database server, Sybase will not restart after the upgrade procedure.
Workaround
Perform the following steps regardless of whether or not you are using a dedicated Sybase database server: 1. BEFORE starting the upgrade to version 6.0.03, copy the RUN script (located in <CONTROL-M server>/sybase/install/) to a temporary location. 2. Perform the upgrade procedure as described in the CONTROL-M/Server for Unix Installation Guide version 6.0.03. 3. AFTER you have completed the upgrade procedure, restore the above saved copy of the RUN script to its original location (<CONTROL-M server>/sybase/install/). 4. Use the startdb command to start the Sybase database. This problem will be corrected in the next version of CONTROL-M/Server for Unix.
