For decades, we have recognized Cardio-Vascular Diseases (e.g., heart attack, stroke) as the silent killer, or the treacherous enemy, of mankind, especially so when one relative suddenly fell down on the lobby or street and did not rise up again. Heart attack. Stroke. These are the silent killers we have been used to see. Externally, it is true. But, my friends and beloved, the silent killer has continued to be the silent killer of mankind because of our too external, lack-of-depth, approach. Heart attack and stroke are only the results of the real silent killer -- they are not really the silent killer. The true silent killer, without much ado, is TRANSFAT! What is transfat? This article will give you an idea to know the enemy. I am not saying only transfat makes up the silent killer; transfat has companions in creating plaque that blocks and suffocates our blood vessels. Some of these companions are: nicotine, flour, salts, chemicals, etc. But transfat is the major ingredient of this great team. Together, they form a blockade so that our blood can no longer flow freely and so that heart attack and stroke can occur at any time even though the person was very healthy a few minutes ago, hence, the term treacherous. Common form of Transfat: Lard, Margarine, Spreads, etc. Transfat is what constitutes or composes our lard, margarine, and most spreads today. It is what makes the large part of the plaque that blocks inside our blood vessels and causes heart attack and stroke. And because it is not identified as the silent killer, transfat has continued to freely roam around like fugitive in smart disguise in countless of baked products today: bread, cakes, cookies, biscuits, etc. which the masses consume without caution and without limit without knowledge without fear. This helps make transfat the real silent killer of mankind! It is time now that we know the specific enemy, to put an end of its current title The Silent Killer! So, this is according to our goal: Be wise as a serpent. a.y.l. agasoft
