Un giorno, Ges chiesto i suoi discepoli a salire sulla barca e a precederlo all'altra riva.

One day, Jesus asked his disciples to get into their boat and go to the other side the lake.

Dopo sal sul monte in disparte per pregare. E, fattosi sera, era l tutto solo.

Jesus then went up on a mountain where he could be alone and pray. Later that evening, he was still there.

La barca intanto si trovava al largo, in mezzo al mare, ed era sbattuta dalle onde perch il vento era contrario.

Meanwhile, the disciples' boat was a long way from land. They were in danger, because a storm had come up and the boat was being tossed around by the waves and the wind.

Verso le tre del mattino, Ges and verso di loro, camminando sul mare.
Early that morning, Jesus decided to go to them, so he walked on top of the water across the lake toward the boat!

I discepoli, vedendolo camminare sul mare, si turbarono e dissero: un fantasma!. E si misero a gridare dalla paura.
When the disciples saw Jesus, they were terrified. Its a ghost! they cried out in fear.

Ma subito Ges parl loro, dicendo: Rassicuratevi; sono io, non temete!.

Jesus called out to them and said, "Do not be afraid. It is I!"

E Pietro, rispondendogli disse: Signore, se sei tu, comandami di venire da te sulle acque.

Then Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water."

Ges disse: Vieni! E Pietro, sceso dalla barca, cammin sulle acque, per venire da Ges.

Jesus told Peter, "Come! So, Peter got out of the boat and started walking to Jesus on the surface of the water.

Ma, vedendo il vento forte, Pietro ebbe paura e, cominciando ad affondare, grid dicendo: Signore, salvami!.
But after a short distance, Peter turned his eyes away from Jesus and began to look at the strong wind and waves. He began to sink and cried out, Lord, save me!

E subito Ges stese la mano, lo prese e gli disse: O uomo di poca fede, perch hai dubitato?.
Jesus reached out right away and grabbed him. Then he said to Peter, Peter, you have so little faith. Why did you doubt?"

Poi, quando salirono in barca, il vento si acquet. Allora i discepoli vennero e l'adorarono, dicendo: Veramente tu sei il Figlio di Dio!.
When Jesus and Peter got into the boat, the wind died down. The disciples worshiped Jesus and said, You really are the Son of God!

Quando si confida davvero in Dio, si pu avere la pace in mezzo alla tempesta. La Bibbia dice: "Alla mente che riposa in te tu (Dio) conservi una pace perfetta, perch confida in te." (Isaia 26:3)

When you truly trust Jesus, you can have peace in the midst of storm . The Bible says, You (God) will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is fixed on You because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)
