Welcome

This document describes how to install and configure Microsoft SQL Server
Reporting Services for use with products in the Citrix EdgeSight family,
including:
• Citrix EdgeSight for Endpoints
• Citrix EdgeSight for Presentation Server
• Citrix EdgeSight for NetScaler
The Citrix EdgeSight product family name is used to indicate all the listed
EdgeSight products. Before using this document, review the installation guide for
the specific Citrix EdgeSight product for information on recommended and
minimum system requirements for all software and hardware components.
The following installation scenarios are described:
• Installing Reporting Services 2000 (used with SQL Server 2000 SP4) on
the same machine as the Citrix EdgeSight Web server. The database server
can be on the same or on a different machine.
• Installing Reporting Services 2005 (as supplied with SQL Server 2005) on
the same machine as the Citrix EdgeSight Web server. The database server
can be on the same or on a different machine.

Installing and Configuring Reporting

Services 2000

Overview
This section describes how to install Reporting Services 2000 (supplied with SQL
Server 2000 SP4) on the same machine as a Citrix EdgeSight Web server. The
EdgeSight database server can be on a separate machine or the same machine.
Throughout these procedures, the Enterprise Edition of SQL Server is used. Note
that the Reporting Services and SQL Server editions must match to ensure proper
operation.
See the Citrix EdgeSight Installation Guide or the Citrix EdgeSight for NetScaler
Installation Guide for overall system and configuration requirements. For Citrix
EdgeSight for Endpoints and Citrix EdgeSight for Presentation Server, note that
your SQL Server should be configured to use SQL Server authentication. This is
not required for EdgeSight for NetScaler.
The procedures in this section describe the following tasks:
• Install SQL Server Developer Tools.
• Install SQL Server Service Pack 4.
• Install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services.
• Install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services Service Pack 2.
• Create a new user.
• Configure Reporting Services security for the new user.
• Install Citrix EdgeSight software.
• Configure Reporting Services access from EdgeSight.
