Kenneth Bryn Swartz, Prosecutor for the Computer Crime Section of the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, will once again be joining us with a presentation and discussion on building a safe online presence. As mobile devices and their associated apps plus social media increase their presence in your daily life, what do you need to know in order to guide your children for best use? Bring your questions to the expert! See you there!

SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR SCHOOL-WIDE FAMILY PICNIC Friday, September 20th 4-6pm Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. The street will be closed so we can easily gather in front of our two buildings. We are excited to announce that we will have food trucks on the block so please bring money! Panavior Grill will be arriving with two trucks (a truck that will offer kid friendly items and one suited more for the parents!). The Twisted Sister Cupcake truck will also be on site. Each TWS child will receive a free cupcake but we know that siblings and parents may also want to enjoy a sweet treat so additional flavors will be available for $3. HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US! September 21st is Peace Day, an event sponsored by the Peace One Day organization and sanctioned by the United Nations. The goal of the organization is to create an annual day of global unity, and a day of intercultural cooperation on a scale that humanity has never known. Peace Day is marked by a global ceasefire and non-violence which allows for relief workers to provide aid in areas that are too dangerous due to sectarian violence or warfare as well as providing peaceful celebrations around the world. This years Peace Day is being marked by a 24 hour historic broadcast of all the various events either by dignitaries or entertainers around the world. The 7th grade World Geography class will be watching these events as part of their curriculum and we encourage the broader Williams School community to take part in the event by watching it as well. Please join us in this initiative PEACE DAY
