Step 9: Fuselage
Take two ice cream sticks and glue them together to make a stick type fuselage. The glue the wing and the stabilizer/rudder assembly to the stick fuselage. Add clay nose-weight to the fuse to adjust CG at around 30% of the chord to get optimal flight characteristics. You Ice cream glider is now ready to fly. Enjoy!!!1

1. Nice design! 2. You would down the front edge of wings. Otherwise the glider tends to loop, that is not good for its reach. 3. You would advantageously replace that heavy paper with food film.
Thanks for the comment. The camera angle creates a slight illusion. The wing incidence is not as much as it seems to be in the pic. You can test with different wing incidence angled to get best result. And yes i plan to use cling wrap next time. Regards Ankur

Jul 7, 2011. 5:53 PM REPLY From the pictures of the completed airplane, it looks as though the wing's angle of incidence and that of the horizontal stabilizers are unequal. If that is the case, then the glider may be creating excessive drag and reducing its range as a result. Is the wing mounted as it seems? Or is it just an illusion?
The angle of incidence of the horizontal stabilizer is near to zero degrees but for the wing , there is some angle of incidence. The pic is partly confusing because of the camera angle. Regards Ankur
