TRAINEE’S ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT Supervised Industrial Training (SIT) Program
Student-Trainee: Joanne M Ilao Course: BT – Ecet Name of Company: Maxim Integrated Products Address of the Company:Gateway Bussiness Park Special Export Processing Zone, Brgy. Javalera, Gen. Trias, Cavite Period of Training From: April 22,2013 To: August 30, 2013
Introduction (One Paragraph only) What is SIT all about? Supervisory Industrial Training is all about learning outside the school or Industry. It’s not about the learning that you gain, not only about electronics but also in attitudes, social, and discipline inside the company. Trains the students to be good workers apply their knowledge that they gain in school. It’s the practices that enhance the talent of the student and to be responsible in their own lives. It is also the step to the brighter future.
MONTHLY NARRATIVE STATEMENT OF ACTIVITIES/WORK UNDERTAKEN/ASSIGNED IN THE COMPANY. STATE WHAT YOU LEARN IN THESE SCTIVITIES/TASK GIVEN(Write in Separate Sheet) :
MONTH 1 In my 1st month, they thought me how to use different testers like ASL1K, LTX, uFLEX. I knew how to use a prober wile testing the devices (manual test or hand test/ Prober run). A Prober is the machine that tests the wafer manually. I also learned how to align the wafer, aligning the wafer is used in wafer Sort. This is the first step in testing the wafer / manual test. We joined also in different orientations like ISO 19001: EMS (Environment Management System), 5S Good house keeping, Security Policy and Company Overview. ISO 19001: EMS is important in a company like Semiconductor Company, this certifies a company that pass in their standards, its like a good example in the costumers. 5S Good house keeping this orientation it is a rule in cleanliness inside the company. Security Policy is to secure the Company and to respect also the security officers in the company. Company Overview is giving us a brief knowledge about the company. Mostly my Activities are validating the devices, in validating a program must do the way that will ends to pass the devices and reach the quota. Then next activity is the Checkpoint 3 EOS Audit using oscilloscope in determining and marking of glitches. Te purpose of EOS Audit is to evaluate the program in forcing the dc voltages; force depends on the program and checking the limits of the measured value.
Then Case study is the background always encountered by failures with majority of the rejects failing on the Abs max. Find the unfunctional part and measure it if shorted or not or high voltage than their abs max. Collect data that can be used as GBD software. because temperature affects the functionality of and device because we want these devices to be flexible in different temperature. I link them in the numbers 1 to 10. When they input the numbers seen in the screen then the menu and the price will be the output. And l learned also the C language that which I assigned to create a cahier machine. In programming first declare all the variables needed. Then input the money of the customer and it subtracts automatically the computes and appear the change in the screen. Next Ramping down and ramp up ramp up the different pins at ye same tine or voltage level should be set /go up first before the lower pin level. . Gage study was you tested it into different hardwares testers and sites. In debugging its jut like troubleshooting of a hardware. that checks the circuit depends in the result of datalog. use oscilloscope if needed. Test also the KGU a minimum of 30 times on a particular hardware. And it used to gather data. I program the device to input the customer that they order and automatically compute the values and after that greet the costumers. Then tester to tester gage test again the KGU a minimum of 30 loops on the tester. So that customers may know what their orders. MONTH 3 In Month 3 mostly my activities are KGU test. contactor boards . use the correct function that is appropriate.Next hardware to hardware gage test try to test the device min other hardwares like loadboards . Understand the circuit and program to locate the unfunctional part ad use the schematic diagram. KGU test or manual test is when you test the devices using sockets cheking or testing the devices manually. If first run is passing loop it into 30 times to make sure all the data are the same . All components of the set-up must remain constant except for te hardwares under verification. KGU test devices undergo or tested in different temperature.Lastly the EOS Audit I learned the causes of glitches in order to deglitch. In revision of program must be edited were the device will passed and produced high yield. Revision of program handler run and create my own program. First delay related it’s the speed to execute the set-up and the test program. in revising the program is depends in the flow of the device inside the handler if it passing or not. and cables. Then I enumerate the Menus available in my virtual canteen. Every hardwares has its kind of sites (multisite ir single site). Ramp down the different pins at the same time or voltage level or lower level pin should be set go down first before the high level.Collect the data and keep all the componens the same test the hardware set-up on another tester. Collect all the data on the 2nd tester to be compared on the data taken on the previous tester.Do not above step in the second and next hardwares.MONTH 2 I learned the basic debugging of Load board.

Change the codes of MS DOS into Microsoft NT (C++ language). Ohms Law 2.a Skills learned in school that is useful in the job.The purpose of this activity is to test the device in another program when no available tester that has no MS DOS. And I learned the Concept of Maximum power transfer where the input is equals the value with output. troubleshooting or debugging and the use of the voltage comparator 2. then challenge in this activity is the lack of tester in wafer sort and baking the VPC it takes time before finish. First use the guide lines in converting a MS DOS to NT. Install the range converter to edit the limits and add functions in the program .b Skills learned in the company while on training. When I assist in debugging the SP22 device I learned that the capacitance affect the circuit because the value of the capacitance is wrong so that the program is failing. After that compile the program and build it must be no error or warnings. I apply the leanings came from school are OP AMPS. In Maxim I taught the maximum power transfer. C++ language is the program used in NT. . about transistor. Creating a program using C Language .MONTH 4 I learned to convert a program in MS DOS to Microsoft NT . It must be exported in MS DOS so that to gather the limits that shall need in Microsoft NT. Experience earned in terms of: 1. checks the limits of the MS DOS.
