The patented BROCO Ultra-Thermic cutting rod is unquestionably the most advanced underwater and surface cutting tool available. It can virtually eliminate costly and time-consuming techniques. The BROCO rod will cut ferrous and non-ferrous metals, concrete, rock - even the heat shield found on the space shuttle! Readily ignited when submerged, the BROCO rod will continue to burn - even without power - until the oxygen supply is cut off. The advanced cutting rod works in conjunction with any cutting torch or welding machine, but it reaches maximum efficiency when used with the BROCO Oxy-Arc Cutting Torch. This cutting torch can be bent 90 degrees for hard-to-reach cuts and for cutting around blind corners without restricting the oxygen flow or decreasing the cutting efficiency. For increased diver safety, the rod is used with a maximum 150 amperes at the tip. This low amperage requirement means that under emergency conditions, the user can even ignite the rod with a 12 volt car battery. The rod will continue to burn with no loss in cutting efficiency if the power is shut off after the rod ignites. The BROCO HVR-4400 High Volume Oxygen Regulator

The BROCO H i g h - Vo l u m e Oxygen Regulator is a multi-stage unit ideal for underwater and surface burning Part Number HVR-4400 that requires both constant flow and high volume. BROCO research has shown cutting efficiency depends more on the oxygen flow than oxygen pressure. The BROCO High Volume Oxygen Regulator was designed to meet and exceed this basic requirement. Smooth flow at high volume is assured from this constant volume, uniform rate source. A stainless steel diaphragm in the safety stage reduces cylinder pressure by 90%, while a large second stage diaphragm allows for sensitive adjustment and maintains accurate delivery under all conditions. The BROCO regulator is vented and equipped with a pressure relief valve between stages and special filter systems to eliminate foreign matter. Designed and manufactured for rugged use, ease of operation, and maximum efficiency, the BROCO High Volume Regulator carries the United Laboratories Listing (UL).

BROCO Oxy-Arc Cutting Torch

The BROCO Oxy-Arc Cutting Torch is an entirely new concept in cutting torch design. It represents the ultimate in diver efficiency, comfort, and safety. BROCO torch is used for all types of underwater cutting. Totally weight Part Number BR-22 balanced, it is already being called the "good feel" torch by professionals. Its unique offset handle design prevents forearm fatigue, especially during extended operations. An important exclusive feature designed into the torch is the provision for oxygen flow at depths greater than normally encountered, when used in conjunction with the BROCO 4400 High Volume Oxygen Regulator and the BROCO Ultra-Thermic Cutting Rod. This torch will accommodate any standard diameter rod or electrode via its quickchange acme threaded lock nut, even in blind situations. The BROCO Oxy-Arc cutting torch is extremely rugged, yet the breakdown and reassembly is quick and simple. The BROCO torch has been designed to significantly minimize electrolysis and to increase diver safety. The interior portion of the BROCO torch is constructed of only one type of metal, thus increasing the safety factor and dramatically extending its useful life.

For many non-structural repairs the resultant weld is allowed more leeway in terms of porosity, inclusions, integrity and appearance. Weighing performance, profitability, contractors are often torn between bidding premium electrode or compromising quality with a lower priced pretender.
