Balor na Sile Nimhe Clay Workshops

Children will have the chance to let their imagination go wild, creating their own interpretation through clay modelling, of the Irish mythical giant, Balor na Sile Nimhe / Balor of the Evil Eye. Legend has it that Balor - the mythical King of Tory Island - could kill anyone just by looking at them! There are two versions of the tale - one says that he had two eyes, but only one was magic, because as a child he looked at his fathers druids preparing a spell, and a bit of the poison went into one of his eyes. The other is that he had only one eye, and that this single eye was magic.
