Rationale The opening of the 21st century brought mankind to new dimension of technological revolution. Technology takes its course to a faster way of development. It gives people the opportunity to make life easier thru the development of valuable technologies that makes living on Earth more satisfying and easy. The development of the World Wide Web or the internet opens a new portal for the development of unending ocean of data and free source learning. It caters almost 6 billion people a day. It gives voluminous information that helps learning easy. Now with the help of technology, anyone can travel the world in no time. We can see and communicate with one another even when we are in different countries. In the case of education, technology made advancement that traditional way of teaching cannot develop. It offers latest technologies that make teaching and studying easier and more enjoyable. These advancements in technology led education to develop more ways of enhancing the educational system in the country. One of these enhancements is the development of learning

materials that can make teaching and learning more successful. The development of electronic module is one of the most popular ways to establish a more enhanced and standardize teaching tool that can help teachers and students to understand learning more easily. It makes teaching easy and it also makes learning satisfying and more appealing to the students. Well known universities around the globe like the Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Berkely University offers on-line learning by means of bridging the gap among country with the use of internet and electronic materials. It is no doubt that using electronic materials will standardize learning and teaching among schools and universities around the globe. SLSU Alabat Satellite Campus is one of the satellite campuses of the Southern Luzon State University. It is located in the coastal town of Alabat, Quezon. With its incontestable distance with the SLSU Main Campus in Lucban, Quezon, the researcher wants to create an electronic learning material that can be used by teachers and students of the Alabat Satellite Campus. The electronic materials will be made by teacher of the SLSU Main Campus with the aid of professional lay-out and graphic artists. The electronic materials will serve as a tool of learning that can close the gap between the Alabat Satellite Campus and the SLSU Main Campus. This research proposal aims to develop electronic materials that will help to close the distance between Alabat Satellite Campus and SLSU Main Campus. Specifically, it will also answer the following questions: 1. What are the subjects and areas of learning that need to be developed in the Alabat Satellite campus? 2. What are the teaching techniques that will be used in the electronic material that will be more helpful in teaching and learning?

3. What are the weak points and strong points of the electronic material that can affect learning and teaching in the Alabat Satellite Campus? 4. Is the developed electronic material acceptable in terms of: a. Content b. Clarity c. Design/Lay-out d. Sound and Video Quality This study will help to develop standardized electronic learning material that can be used by the teachers and students of the Southern Luzon State University. It will enhance learning through the development of new learning tools and understanding the weak points and strong points of electronic materials in teaching and learning. The study will also help satellite campus specifically Alabat Satellite Campus to enhance its teaching and learning capability through the use of latest technology possible with the assistance of the SLSU Main Campus. The learning material to be developed will also be the way to close the long distance gap between the SLSU Main Campus and its satellite campuses. Objectives This study aims to: Develop new interactive learning electronic module that will help close the gap between SLSU Main Campus and Alabat Satellite Campus by providing updated references in the form of interactive learning module.

Upgrade the learning materials presently available by means of using new advancements in technology like the use of animations, videos, and flash videos.

Improve the teaching techniques of the instructors and professors by using the best possible learning materials that is widely used among the globe.

Develop more ways to achieve greater performance of the students in the area of English.

Methodology and Activities The researcher will try to develop an electronic learning material that will be used in teaching in the Alabat Satellite campus and the SLSU Main Campus. The researcher will try to distinguish the areas of learning and subjects that needs improvement in the Alabat Satellite Campus by means of interviewing the teachers and professors of the SLSU-Alabat. The researcher will also seek the help of professors of the SLSU Main Campus to evaluate the development of the electronic material. After the electronic material is finished, it will be used in the campuses and the researcher will try to gather the information through questionnaire that will help her to distinguish the weak points and strong points of the electronic learning material. Posttest and Pre-test will also be used to determine the effectivity of the developed learning materials.
