Just about anything can be achieve with graphical design software, I personally was always fascinated by the abilities

of graphic designers but could never acquire the skill myself. However, last year, I enrolled in a course called ―Typography Essentials‖ and I will say it was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken. While the course is structured around typography, many graphic design skills are used and acquired – I also obtained experience in graphic design when I was developing a website and graphics for the organization ―Climb UP.‖ I continue to practice my skills through various personal projects include my own business/personal website (FIVDstudio.com – First Impression Visual Design) and a clothing company project called ―BanKrupt.‖ I very much enjoy graphic design and think it is useful for almost anyone, specifically in the IT field; it’s just so convenient to have the ability to generate, manipulate or correct images when it comes up. I believe literally anything can be achieve through graphic design, take for instance propaganda:

These images, I would consider, some of the first instances of graphic design – while civilization had messed around with art, images and typography, I believe this is one of the first true instances of graphic design, with the exception of corporate branding. I think this because these posters are designed in a way which utilize typefaces and graphics in a complementary way to instill a predetermined message. More so, graphic design can also be used to intrigue people or spark interest – i.e. Corporate branding:
