2005 BCSD Spring Seminars:

The Proposed Residential Energy Code and the Mechanical Code for Residential Construction
This program will address the proposed new Energy Code (Chapter 1322) and the new Mechanical Code (Chapter 1346) requirements for residential structures built in Minnesota. This program will cover both the envelope and Mechanical Code requirements. Who should attend? Building Officials, inspectors, designers, design professionals, contractors, installers, skilled trade persons, and other interested parties. Building Official Continuing Education – 2.5 units of instruction. In order to receive credit, you must attend from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. dates, locations and registration information are on page 3

Manufactured Structures Seminar
The 2005 Manufactured Structures Seminar will address such topics as manufactured homes code updates and on-site work (installation, electrical, plumbing, and identification). Topics on this agenda will benefit all. Learn what you need to know about correct procedures for working with Federal (HUD) and Minnesota Manufactured Home Laws and Rules. Who should attend? Limited Dealers, Dealers, Installers, Manufacturers, Service Personnel, Building Officials, Electrical Inspectors, General Contractors, and Park Owners and Managers. This program is also open to other interested individuals. Attendance is strongly recommended for dealers, installers, and manufacturers, as attendance will be reviewed during future license and registration renewals. This seminar is approved for 2.5 units of continued education needed for maintaining building official certification. Application for continuing education credits for residential building contractors and remodelers is pending with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. dates, locations, and registration information are on page 4
