• Introduction and updates • Option I: First aid/CPR – a half-day session about first aid (8:15 a.m. to noon) and a half-day session about CPR certification and recertification (1 to 4 p.m.) that meets OSHA standards and MLEP membership requirements. Note: Not offered Dec. 12. • Option II: Logging safety training – an all-day session about body mechanics and ergonomics, slips and falls, fall protection, injuries and fatalities, landing and woodyard safety. • Closing: An opportunity for attendees to ask questions and evaluate the seminar. About the seminars
The LogSafe safety program is a one-day, eight-hour seminar. Attendance is required for application to the Targeted Industry Rebate program, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §176.130, and is a requirement to maintain membership in the Minnesota Logger Education Program (MLEP). This FREE safety seminar includes all resource and training materials and lunch. Each seminar is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Note: Participants only have to attend one full-day seminar. When attending a training session that consists of both classroom and hands-on training, participants are required to participate in the hands-on portion of the training to get credit for the session.
