This offer is a contract which commits you to occupation of your accommodation for the full period of the contract/payment of the fees for the full period of the contract. In special circumstances, you may request to be considered for transfer to alternative University Accommodation. However, if you move to private accommodation, you will still have to pay your residence fees for the period of the contract with the University. Only accept the offer of a residence place, if you intend to occupy the accommodation for the full period of the contract. Please note - a change in personal circumstances does not mean that you can break the contract. Please note - a contract in the United Kingdom is an agreement between two or more parties which is legally binding. Your CODE of CONDUCT is available to view or print. In brief, by accepting this Accommodation Offer you agree; that you are a member of a community and should treat your fellow residents, University neighbours and the residence staff with consideration and respect at all times not to handle any item of safety equipment fire extinguishers, fire detection equipment, fire-alarm trigger points, bells or sounders (and there being no event of an emergency). not to behave in an anti-social, antagonistic, violent, threatening or abusive manner not to be noisy, disorderly or disruptive. not to behave in a manner or using an item which might create a hazard or threaten the safety of others. not to indulge in behaviour which is likely to result in damage to residence property. Further, you accept that you are responsible for your behaviour and that of your guests and that you carry a collective responsibility for all the residents of your block or floor and the rest of the residence.
