International Conference on Advanced Mechanical Sciences-2014

January 16-18, 2014

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE AND DEPARTMENT

Vardhaman College of Engineering (VCE) was established in 1999 with an endeavor to impart high quality Technical Education and innovative research in the fields of Engineering Technologies, with emphasis on industry oriented programs for development of students as well as faculty. VCE is affiliated to JNT University, Hyderabad, and is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.Today there are 10 departments and B.Tech program is offered in 7 branches. In addition, institute offers MBA, MCA and M.Tech programmes. All the seven branches are accredited by NBA (AICTE). Recenlty, it has been awarded the The Top Performing College among 2000 colleges all over India in The Great Mind Challenge 2011 from IBM Company for the year 2011 at TGMC for "Imparting Quality Technical Education & empowering students & faculty members with necessary On-Demand skills". Top careers 360 magazine have considered VCE as one of the leading colleges with AA++ Rating. In the course of continued development towards excellence the VCE was credited with the status of an Autonomous College by JNTU, Hyderabad in 2011. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is established in the year 2006. The department is equipped with well qualified & experienced faculty members, and well established laboratories. The department is continuously striving to achieve excellence in education, academic and industry oriented research as well as consultancy work aiming service to the society. The department already handled the DST, AICTE, CSIR and DRDO collaborated project and few more are under process.

ABOUT THE VENUE

The conference venue is Vardhaman College of Engineering,VCE in abbreviated form. The campus of VCE is on a sprawling 70 acres plot of land around 28 kilometers from the heart of the city and 16 kilometers from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The institute has facilities like first aid center, students' hostels, library, computer center, sports facilities, canteens etc. There are many good hospitals in Hyderabad city that are located at about 25 kilometers from the institute. The Hyderabad city is well connected to all major cities like Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and other metro cities through air, road, and rail. The institute is located at about 37 kilometers from railway station. The weather is generally normal in January reaching 15-18C during night time. Hyderabad is worth visiting tourist places like Charminar, Ramoji Film City, Golkonda Port, Hitech City, etc. Hyderabad is famous for pure Pearls, Biryani, pure vegetarian fruits Karachi biscuits like many. It is worthy to visit Hyderabad in a life to carry many memories.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

In the present era, Mechanical Sciences are the backbone of the economy of a nation. Due to globalization, there is a stiff competition in the industries for designing and producing the quality products with reduced cost. There is a strong motivation for optimizing the design and manufacturing process using experiments with high precision equipments and computational techniques for modeling the processes. Many a times, the products and processes are simulated before the actual production starts. The present conference focuses on the latest developments in the field of Mechanical Sciences applied to design, thermal, manufacturing etc. The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to share and disseminate knowledge in advanced computing methods that may be applied in the modeling and optimization of Mechanical Sciences. The major focus will be on industrial application of academic knowledge. In addition to contributory papers, the conference aims at inviting renowned experts for delivering keynote addresses/special lectures in the field of Mechanical Sciences.

PROCEEDINGS AND SOUVENIR

It is proposed to make available the proceedings of the conference in print and CD forms. All accepted papers will be published in conference proceedings. It is also planned to bring out an attractive souvenir that will include the abstracts of all papers and would be a valuable reference. The souvenir will include advertisements also. Tariff for advertisement in the souvenir: Outside back cover : Rs.50000/- (Indian), USD 1500 (Overseas) Inside cover page : Rs.40000/- (Indian), USD 1200 (Overseas) Full page : Rs.30000/- (Indian), USD 1000 (Overseas) Half page : Rs.15000/- (Indian), USD 500 (Overseas) Please note that organizing committee may refuse to publish an advertisement, if it is felt that it is not in the public interest.
