Rules & Regulations for Placements (Final & Summer Placements) Rules for Summer Training
1. For the First Year students: If he/she has taken up a summer training project from campus, he/she will not be allowed to withdraw from that for another off-campus offer that he/she may have secured at a later stage. Any such violation of the rule will result in barring him/her from the Final Placement Processes. So, if he/she has an off-campus offer which he /she would rather pursue, please DO NOT appear for the interviews by the companies visiting the campus. 2. Students having 90 % attendance will be given preference for live projects received from the
corporate on rotational basis or first come, first serve basis. If no student turns up for live projects then Corporate Resource Cell will decide whom to send for the project and the decision of Corporate Resource Cell will be binding.
3. It is absolutely necessary for the student to conduct himself/herself professionally during their tenure with the organization as a summer intern. 4. In case the institute receives any complaint from the organizations regarding the conduct or indiscipline of the student strict action will be taken on that student. 5. The student needs to remember that his/her conduct & performance can mar or enhance the institute’s image thereby affecting the final placement. 6. The student has to remember that the summer training is only for a period of 50 days. Normally no extension in the tenure of the summer training is allowed as the student is required to attend the classes from the scheduled date of the commencement of the 3 rd semester. 7. The permission to extend the period of summer training in very special cases is only the prerogative of the chief co-ordinator and the placement head.
Rules for Registration (Summer & Final Placements)
1 Every Summer Internship/Final Placement opportunities will be posted on yahoo groups mentioning all the relevant details like companies name, job description, specialization required, location, pre-requisites and stipend/Package if any. The mail will also mention the last date and time for registration. Corporate Resource Cell will not be liable if the message is not read by the students. 2 Interested student who then opt for appearing for the selection process for Summer Internship/Final Placement offered by these organizations will have to personally come to the placement cell and register their name on the registration sheet. 3 The selection process of these organizations along with the schedule, venue and other details will be intimated to the students via yahoo groups. 4 Once the student has registered it becomes binding on him to appear for the PPT (Pre Placement Talk) wherein the company presents all the details to the student pertaining to job description, specialization required, location, pre-requisite skills, stipend/Package offered, selection process . Failure to attend the PPT after registration will lead to disqualified from placements. It is therefore necessary for the students to think twice before registering for a particular company.
Any corporate interaction by any student must be carried out in consultation with the Head. After the PPT the student may decide to appear or opt out of the placement process of the organization. Once the student resume is forwarded in the company of his/her choice it is mandatory to appear for interview. Students who give their consent after PPT to appear for the selection process and fail to do so will be debarred from the Summer Placement/Final Placements activities. College uniform is mandatory during the selection process whether in campus or outside. Any deviation would result in disciplinary action against the concerned student(s) who are involved in such activity. The placement cell will provide all the details to the best of its ability. They are hereby advised to refrain from such communication whatsoever. it is binding on him to join the organization. pay package or location before accepting the job. Once he decides to attend the selection process the student will have to go through the entire cycle of the selection process until he/she is either eliminated or selected by the organization for Summer Training /Final Placement. he/she will not be considered for any other interview. In such cases where a PPT may not be held it is the duty of the students to clarify during the course of the interview any doubts he may have regarding the nature of job. The candidate has to carry the resume which is in the college standard format and which has a formal photo in college uniform affixed to it.
